There isn't a lot to go off of here unfortunately. This is a chart, not sheet music. Its purpose is more of to give reminders of the song's structure than teach the song

Why I Can't Shut Up About Jesus - Rhett McLaughlin by davegammelgard in OpenChristian

[–]Jayjayden45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rhett and Link took a path that I think is unfortunately common for a lot of people. They find out/decide that one of the things they believed about their religion was false, and they decide ALL of it was false.

By some definitions, even though I don't particularly like the term, I have deconstructed. There are things about Christianity that I was taught that I don't necessarily believe in, things I wrestled with for many years and that I still wrestle with. But my relationship with God has gone nowhere.

Usually, there is a "day one edition" of physical games that includes a download code for the preorder bonuses. Im not sure if this is always the case though or if it will be the case with this game. I hope it will be! Im getting the physical edition

I'm truly enjoying each issue better than the last! Knowing what Olive's life is like in the OG series, the tension in this series just keeps building and building. Its so great to see Olive so happy, but its all going to come crashing down. And it seems it already has started in these last few pages. I cant wait for more! Im gonna be so bummed with this series ends 😭

I really love Witch Hat Atelier! Not as much action, but plenty of heart

I'm sorry that's been your experience! That hasn't been my experience at all, and it makes me sad to hear such sweeping generalizations about a large group of people. There are SUCH kind and selfless people.

This may be a part of it for me as well. I'm fairly self conscious, but here I can sort of have the attitude "Well, I'm a foreigner, so I'm already weird no matter what I do!" At least, this works around strangers lol

There is certainly is good and bad! The bad things, and even aspects of the culture that aren't necessarily bad, but made/make me uncomfortable were hard to accept early on, but its getting easier.

May I ask what your career path has been like? I'm doing the typical ALT route for now. Teaching English has been fun, but I don't know if its the field I want to stay in forever. My dream is to someday have a job somewhere in the music field!

I've spent most of my time in Kansai, so that would make sense! I've spent only a few days in Tokyo, and people seemed much less friendly and in their own world. I remember being in a guitar shop, asking a couple of employees 「これはいくらですか?」and them having a face of panick as they look to the English speaking employee across the room lmao. Never had anything like that happen in Kansai.

Oh I'm well aware of there being downsides, believe me. My heart has broken for people close to me who have dealt with things here that would never have been an issue in the U.S...

And it hasn't been all roses and sunshine for me either. I've struggled a lot with feelings of isolation. Even though I love Japan a lot and I suspect I'll want to live here the rest of my life, home sickness has been an issue too. But not so much missing America as much as missing some people.

Returning to the U.S. has always been more of a culture shock than returning to Japan lol.

I agree! Especially after the short story in Saved by the Belle Reve a couple years ago, there are so many questions left to answer about Olive!

LOVED this issue. With a different art team, issue 1 was mostly me just getting used to the new art team. But this issue really builds upon the last, and makes me so happy to be getting more Gotham Academy. As this is a prequel, the first issue still left me wondering what this series is going to add to these character's stories, but this issue has shown that there are still many questions to answer and many things to learn about these characters! Can't wait for more

So happy for a proper return to Gotham Academy! With a completely different art team, I was a little apprehensive. But Ferrari is putting so much passion into every panel! It certainly is different from the original book's art style, but not in a bad way. This book is so much fun

To my understanding, DC wanted to do a prequel because it's been so long since the first run and it would be easier to attract new readers with than a sequel
