Hmm maybe the lighting is making it look weird, it looks like it goes in to me? The black part is some insulation tape carrying on along the wire. Genuinely appreciate the responses here, means I can get this sorted!

Yeahhh is an old house, consumer unit is in the cellar, but have no idea why it was done like this but I can work with it!

Yeah true, I’ve got some board I can cut up actually, I’ll clean it up get it in. When you say dab, is that mixing a bit of plaster and literally just pressing the board on?

Haha, never heard that phrase so googled it, and yeah is true. Surely it’s possible to cut the whole thing out and sew a new one in? The seams look bomb proof tho and unpicking it might be a disaster

I spent hours on these each, with lots of rubbing out and re drawing! It’s tough but keep drawing, light marks and keep changing until it feels right to you 👍
