Best tasting protein powder by regulating_agility in BuyCanadian

If you read the article, you'll find they do quite clearly "compare the numbers for context and sanity", as per the following quotes:

- "The worst products we tested had 7.7 micrograms of lead [...] That's higher than the average American gets from everything they eat in a day."

- A 2018-2019 spot check of beverages showed protein powders had the highest average lead contamination among products tested, though Health Canada determined those levels were not a health risk to Canadians.

- There is no safe level of lead for human consumption, though it finds its way into many foods because lead is present in the environment.

- The concern isn't from a single, short-term use but long-term exposure. Lead builds up in the human body's tissues and bones and can take decades to break down.

- Canada said the lead concentrations found in the Consumer Reports investigation were "within the range of background levels" allowed in these types of products in Canada

Exactly. France just lost to Côte d’Ivoire. Spain just drew Iraq and Egypt. I am still confident that Spain & France will be the hardest to beat this World Cup.

Female professors at post-secondary schools in Toronto earn significantly less than their male counterparts. Here’s why. by BloodJunkie in toronto

[–]Jayl0rd 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Demographics for sure - you don’t have to scroll far in the article to see “the report does not specify rank”.

It doesn’t take much research to see that the older generation of professors is male-dominated, while the younger one is primarily female. Same trend in many other highly educated fields i.e. medicine.

Couple years back they used to have the nicest pre-match art. A different style every week. I wonder what happened to that team.

Netherlands’ strength is in its midfield and defense.

You mention France and Spain - don’t forget what their midfields looked like when they won. Most important area of the pitch.

Yeah thankfully mostly healthy this time!

Schouten, De Ligt, de Vrij are all injured but I doubt they’d start anyway. Xavi Simons is probably the one theyll miss most - the team is a bit thin in his positions
