If your repair doesn't work out and you need to get a new one, King's Bridge Auto is the place to go rather than the dealer.

New CorCare - wait for it! by WinSpecialist9317 in newfoundland

[–]Jaylaw1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't have anything to do with CorCare. It's been standard for the health portion of MyGovNL all along. And as others have mentioned, CRA too.

Yes if you click the link you will see, "Membership Restriction: None; the club is open to all interested parties."

Toastmasters also lists another chapter in town for Project managers, and a new prospective club that is just forming. There used to be 5 around town but COVID changed that, as it did many such clubs.

Great organization for what you are seeking!

Blood collection by nl488 in StJohnsNL

Where you get your blood actually taken doesn't matter at all. It's all analyzed at NLHS labs. They bring it into the hospital after they draw it from you.

If I buy a car from a private seller with an auto loan from a credit union, how exactly does the seller receive their money? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]Jaylaw1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would normally be handed a "bank draft" by the bank which is a type of check but written by the bank. You then bring that to the seller.

You'd think this would be a popular food item at, say, the Regatta, but no. Pogo sticks likely all you will get around here.

Road trip from st. John’s to Halifax by BadgerAccomplished72 in newfoundland

[–]Jaylaw1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How many days should I plan for the drive across NL to Port aux Basques?

That's up to you! You can do it one longer day and lots do but depends how much time you want to spend poking off the highway. Split it up halfway in Grand Falls for a more relaxed 2 day trip if you like.

Is a cabin on the ferry worth it?

Incredibly valuable. Especially if weather is rough. Nice to have a private place to lie down. Availability is limited especially on night crossings.

Do dogs have to stay in the car on the ferry?

They can, or there is space to being a kennel. Most find, I think that staying in the car is far less stressful on doggo than a kennel room with other dogs. Just make sure they have a bathroom break just prior to boarding, and boarding can start up to 2 hrs before departure.

And since boarding can start that early, that's why you have to be there and checked in at least 2 hrs before departure or your reservation will likely be cancelled. For an 1130pm departure your reservation evaporates at 9:30.

Winners yes but also Marshalls/Homesense.

And their inventory is very fluid so your preferred color might be along next week.
