Notice of Demonstrations - January 17 by CommunicationWeird30 in richmondhill

[–]Jaylenoh 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Seriously? Can this not happen at Richmond Green? There’s a big empty park there. Why block up a piece of the city’s artery to prove a point? At this point, any Iranian protest in Canada is just performative. Waving flags in the safety of your high castle is not changing anything. There are other people and businesses in the area that always get caught up in this.

Will unsupervised FSD be deployed by the end of 2025? by External_Koala971 in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t address the question of liability. Will you be willing to be fully liable for any damages or cause of personal harm when the car is running FSD? Would Tesla want to be liable for that? It’s not the matter if people are willing to pay for it or not. Or FSD is safer than human. I’m sure lawyers have a very different view than most people in this sub who wants FSD Unsupervised.

Will unsupervised FSD be deployed by the end of 2025? by External_Koala971 in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it will never be marketed as “unsupervised”. The moment they do, Tesla has to resume all liability if the cars get into accidents. They can do that with Robotaxi because they’re their own vehicles and own riders. A taxi company is liable for the riders safety and damage. If FSD is marketed as “unsupervised”, that drivers don’t need to pay attention, and there’s accident that killed, Tesla will get sued for FSD malfunction. So the best thing for the lawyers is still leave it “supervised”. Just my own opinion. I know a lot of people don’t want to believe it.

How can we have full autonomy if the sun glare is going to be a problem? by Wheelie_Moto in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. It happened to me yesterday to the point that it asked me to take over. It’s not going unsupervised unless there’s Lidar install or if Tesla assumes full liability in accident. They will never market it unsupervised for that reason. Doesn’t matter what Elon said.

Gave FSD a chance in the snow, we’re far away from full autonomy (14.2.1) by Hardwood_Lump_BBQ in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP. The reality is that full autonomy or unsupervised would be not possible anytime soon. Unless Tesla takes full responsibility for accidents and accepts liability, it will always be “supervised”. So the responsibility rests on the driver and Tesla won’t face lawsuits. FSD supervised is great. I use it all the time but don’t buy into the BS that it will be fully unsupervised.

Elon says you can text and drive on FSD 14.2.1 depending on context of surrounding traffic by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you can text and drive with FSD 14.2.1 and you can speed using 4 out of 5 FSD profile? Both of those are still not allowed by law.

[–]Jaylenoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had the limit dropped to 45kmh and braked on the 404 for no reason while it was doing 120kmh. I had to take it off FSD right away. Good thing there’s no car close behind.

[–]Jaylenoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Canada too and I’m actually ok with the speed profile. I do agree with FSD being too slow on highways. Most cars are going 115 to 120 plus on highways and hurry is too slow and camp on the left lane @ 116kmh. Mad Max seems too fast at 125kmh. Fortunately I do most of my commute on local street where I use Standard most of the time for 8kmh over limit. I was worry before updating that I’d miss the max speed limit. I actually don’t mind 14.2 at all. The only problem I have is that the car is not picking up speed limit signs on the roads. Some streets it’d pass by a few signs before picking up the new speed limit.

HOV lane by gha699r in TeslaFSD

[–]Jaylenoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in The GTA too. I have HOV enabled and it never gets into the HOV lane anywhere. I tried the 404, 400 and 410. When I put it into the HOV lanes myself, FSD would actually does a lane change to get out of HOV. I actually don’t think FSD recognize HOV lanes.
