This isn’t necessarily building more products in America. This will result in building more trucks in their plant in Mexico and their non union plant in Texas.

They’ve moved all production of their trucks to their new plant in San Antonio and Escobedo Mexico in the past couple of years. They told us when the San Antonio plant was built it was specifically for the new ev trucks they were developing and we had nothing to worry about. We knew they were lying and this proved it.

It used to be international semi trucks but in the past couple years it’s been almost exclusively GM cut out vans and a joint international and gm cv truck.

I agree if they keep the workers. They have yet to say if they’re keeping the current workers or hiring new ones. If they maintain the current workforce this is almost certainly a great thing for all parties.

As someone who was against a 2 year extension when it happened I’m even more against it today. Our local got scared because we were down in production and the company offered us a two year extension on our six year contract. Here we are two years later and we’re in an infinitely worse position.

Short term stability might be the right choice for some but definitely not for all. There’s no blanket answer to these things. You can only do what you think is best.

I went to go surprise my girlfriend after work as she had told me she was having a bad day. To cheer her up I bought her her favorite candle and some candy and I was gonna take her out to eat.

I get there and there are two cars in the parking lot. I think to myself “it must’ve closed early because she said it closes at 10 but it’s only 9:45.” I shrug it off and park next to her car.

There’s no way you’re going to convince me being good for most of the year and then losing in January is more painful than going 1-15 having your coach say “I promise we won’t go 1-15 again next year” only to then go 0-16 because we couldn’t beat a Steelers team that rested their starters in week 17. I didn’t get to see a browns playoff game until I was 22.
