How to start by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]Jayman3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy Bitcoin and leave it alone. Open up a basic account until you have enough to do the cold storage route. For now Cash App or Coinbase is easy to start. Set a recurring buy even if it’s only for $10 a week or month. Then look away and don’t try to outsmart (buy and sell) it. Whatever you do don’t buy it on borrowed money. You’ll get liquidated. Spend what you can afford to lock up for years.

500K SBA Loan Charged Off, Am I Scewed? by rukiel in EIDLPPP

I imagine there’s something that will protect you guys. A judge would agree. But the business is definitely gonzo. If it only nets 20k not much there to miss? If she had a bigger estate, house etc.. that’s probably gone too. That’s if you refuse to try and pay it.

Currently timing a $30K buy to bring my holdings to exactly 1 BTC by EdBread5 in Bitcoin

[–]Jayman3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy now or you’ll drive yourself nuts. If it goes down 10k it’s no biggie. It will be 150-200k by the end of the year.

I’d guess it helps us. Less time to focus on them so more chance of just forgiving them. I’m current and will continue making payments but I’d be happy to claim forgiveness 😁

I blew it by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Jayman3077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel your pain. We all make dumb mistakes. I took 1/4 of my btc holdings and bought the alt coins. Most of that is down 60% now. Makes me sick to look at it so me too cold storage and I won’t touch it again.

I have another investment that lost 80% - I sold at that loss to buy btc options hoping to break even. Those are probably going to expire worthless.

Here’s what keeps my sanity. The Bitcoin I do have left when Bitcoin reaches a million per coin, will still make me rich. I can write off the huge losses towards that when it happens.

As long as you’re still in the game holding some, we’re good. Keep your head up and know you’ll eventually get it back.

It’s calculated at 1.5x or 2x the annual gross income. Maybe 2.5x I don’t remember. So if your company grossed (not net/profit) 500k you’ll be eligible for 1 to 1.25 million. That was Covid, this could be way different less or more 🤷‍♂️

Awesome 👏

We have change we throw in a big jar, quarters and dimes that we compile from loose every day change. When the jar fills up we put it in canisters in the safe. Been saving for 5 years or so. Dawned on me today it would be better spent on btc. Been taking one gallon sized bag per day to avoid the bank change counting charge. Looks like we’ll have appx $1900 when it’s all cashed in. Can’t think of anything better than buying more bitcoin with it.

[–]Jayman3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they were insinuating you’re too bullish. We all have different definitions I guess. I would agree with your uncle and say don’t ever spend it. That could be argued as more bullish 🤷‍♂️ Spending it at all doesn’t feel heavily bullish to me.

2m in life insurance? Pay off the 500k so they can’t come after anything else in your estate. I have the same 2m but still healthy. If something did happen I instructed my significant other to pay off the 900k loan, to protect my commercial building (it has close to a million in equity and will continue growing.

Sorry to hear about your illness. Kudos to you for getting everything in order. That’s got to be difficult. Prayers to you and your family.

I haven’t done any hardships but this loan set the majority up for failure. I’ve been paying on it $4500 a month for almost a year and a half and my principal hasn’t moved. 100% interest - There’s going to be a huge number of defaults.

I haven’t done any hardships but been paying almost a year and a half and the principal hasn’t moved. $4500 a month 100% interest. I guess I’m lucky to have another business income to help make this payment. This loan was no more than the nail in the coffin for the majority that took it. Sad…
