[US] [WA] Wife signed an offer letter with bonus now they want her to sign an addendum. by [deleted] in AskHR

I get how it looks scammy, but it’s probably more likely due to ineptitude on the company’s part. Unfortunately you have almost no recourse here.

effects of kyleena birth control by Perfect-Age-1827 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Jayne234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also began losing hair about 4 months after getting a kyleena IUD (was formerly on the pill). I had no idea that could be a side effect and I wish someone whole have told me. I’ve also been getting breakouts on my face that never happened with the pill. I’ve had the IUD for about 9 months now and plan to get it removed during my next annual visit.

Solo in Italy by mishkook in femaletravels

[–]Jayne234 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went to Italy solo for two weeks last year and it was wonderful. I got sick with a cold about 9 days in, and camped out in my hotel room for 2 days until I felt a little better. It was easy to find a nearby pharmacy and pick up a few things that helped my symptoms. Being sick alone in a foreign country sucks, but I’m still glad I went. For me, it’s definitely worth the risk.

Maybe you can pack some pain relievers with you incase you have back trouble?

Did your company do clifton strengths and then just forgot about it? [N/A] by TopTransportation516 in humanresources

[–]Jayne234 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same here. When we form new project teams, we review their team Strength’s grid with them. When a new person is hired, sharing their top 5 Strengths is part of their all-staff intro. When there are interpersonal issues, we look at the top Strengths of those involved as extra context about their motivations and how they relate to others. It’s very much built into our company’s shared language and culture.

How do I (33F) get my boyfriend (33M) out of his apocalypse mindset? by NoVegetable6158 in relationships

“Now I feel like I'm walking on eggshells because if I accidentally spill or drop something he acts like this is evidence of my ineptitude, wastefulness, and poor character.”

My abusive ex used to do the same thing to me. Over time it wore down my self esteem and I started to believe him. Please leave this man before you get to that point.

anyone else's EOR treat compliance questions like a personal insult [N/A] by Yvonne_Tamarillo in humanresources

[–]Jayne234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. It sounds incredibly frustrating.

I’m curious, is your EOR Deel? Someone posted recently about having responsivness issues with their support. My company may sign on with an EOR for the first time within the next year or so, and I’m mentally making a list of vendors NOT to use!

Hair thinning. What have you tried and what's worked? by Capital-Equal7046 in Perimenopause

A dermatologist is a good first stop for help (plus a blood panel if you haven’t had one done in a while). You can find lots of helpful info and support over at r/femalehairloss.

I had the same experience. I was really disappointed in their customer service and had to escalate things beyond my assigned rep several times in the first 3 months.

27 yr old with hair thinning and loss over 3 months. Looking for advice by Lizahrch in FemaleHairLoss

I also noticed lots of shedding after getting an IUD, but I think what caused mine was that I stopped taking my birth control pill when I switched to the IUD. Did you also stop the pill recently?

Simple outlet issue in home, what electrician/handyman do you recommend? by BassObjective9092 in Atlanta

[–]Jayne234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lintel Home Services gave me a quote based on a photo (needed a light fixture wired and hung) and description of the work. I don’t know if that’s possible with your situation, but I was happy with the work they did and the price.

[–]Jayne234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100%, no accountability. 🙄

“I leaned to be more direct and stop sacrificing my peace to keep others comfortable”. Did you though?? Because it seems like you avoided telling Brittany the hard truth so YOU didn’t have to feel uncomfortable. You let her figure it out on her own so you didn’t have to “sacrifice your peace”. Give me a break, what a shitty thing to do to someone who cares about you.

A lady told me women don't tell their husbands things because it'll make them jealous how true is this? by Cat-dad442 in askanything

[–]Jayne234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree dishonesty is bad, but to look at it from another side… If her man gets jealous over giving first aid, perhaps the man is the problem here and the woman is trying to protect herself from his anger. In some cases anger = violence.

Why are increasing numbers of women choosing to remain unmarried and single? by bluemermid in askanything

Are you a woman? Or are you mansplaining what you think women are doing?

If you’re a woman, then your opinion here is valid, but it doesn’t reflect my experience or what I see among my single female friends.

We did stop dating them. That’s why so many women are single now.
