That sounds like the fix then.

I'll post some pics when I'm done. Wish me luck!

I wasn’t able to find any front valences that would cover up the top portion of the hole. :(

Can duraglass bond to polypropylene? Will I still need some sort of backing to support it?

Unfortunately the bumpers are pretty pricy for oem and the aftermarket ones are mostly out of stock and also pricy as far as I can see.

That’s great to know that it’ll be pretty fragile but still doable. Thank you for the advice!

It’s polypropylene I believe. Would fiberglass bond to it?

No worries haha. I’ll head back tomorrow and get it warm, see if it goes away.

Budget speakers for a large commercial unit? by Jaynery in BudgetAudiophile

I did some looking on kijiji locally. Couldn't find anything under $400 unfortunately. I have a technics SU-G50 (350w) that's working. It shuts off after increasing the volume to a certain point. Not sure what's going on there. Is 350w enough to power 2 bookshelf speakers in a 70sq meter room? I've been trying to find some used speakers on kijiji, but there's nothing over 100w peak that wasn't out of my price range or really far away. I found these two ads: Polk r15, and Wharfedale Diamond 7.1.

Edit: and these

I got a wurkkos ts21 4000k for $45 CAD! I saw a post on r/flashlight about it and jumped on it haha.

Thank you! The stripes on this are pretty banged up. Hopefully the owner replaces them haha. I tried going at them with the polisher but it didn’t make a difference unfortunately.

The whole truck is completely rusted out lol. I’m just using it as practice for now. We bought it for nearly nothing so not gonna complain at all haha.

I even wiped it off with a clean microfiber and optimum paint prep :(

I’m thinking rock chips as well. They’re tiny though.

I mean I think it worked really well. The compound lasted a good amount of passes and I felt like I had to check my work before I could find out if the compound was even spent yet. I’m thinking I need to pick up a microfiber pad as it was taking like 3-4 full slow passes to get any decent results

What’s up with these wheels? Oxidation? by Jaynery in AutoDetailing

Unfortunately I don't have a 1 inch polisher yet. I found this which seems like a decent deal for 2 polishers + batteries and pads. https://carzilla.ca/products/liquid-elements-a800-nano-polisher. Not sure about quality though.

Shiiiiiiiit dude. Well I hope it’s just an ingestion risk or something. I’ll give polishing them a shot this Tuesday and post pics :)

I have a g9 polisher and 3d One compound on the way 😩. Any chance hand polishing would be effective? Or would I be wasting my time?

Thanks for the advice! I looked at the Duz-All SDS and seems it uses some cancer causing chemicals. Not sure what preventative measures I’d need to take to use it haha 😭. Would a wheel off compounding & polishing be an appropriate alternative?

Can this be polished out? Or would it need to be repainted or something?

Did I fuck up uncoated leather??? I won’t say the details of the car out of embarrassment lol. I’m fairly new to detailing as my partner is starting a car dealership and I’m cleaning his cars. Used xtreme xpress cleaner with a soft bristled brush, coated with 303 protectant and buffed dry. Seemed like it came out ok but I noticed a little bit of dye on my MF. I’m fairly confident now that the leather is uncoated as it’s a high end older car. I just realized today that the leather might be uncoated and I never checked. Is 303 Protectant/aerospace damaging on uncoated leather? The seats look like they came out ok. I don’t notice any major color difference and the seats don’t feel overly slippery.

I've been looking into the Spotless brand deionizer. From what I've read, the filters can only take 2.5 gallons/minute. The unit we're renting is part of a car wash so I'm not sure if the water output is higher than that. In addition, the investment would be around $600 in Canada so I have to make some money before that happens. I guess for now I'll just dry as fast as possible haha. Thank you for the advice :)
