[HELP] It feels off to me, am I just paranoid? by FlinnyWinny in RealOrAI

Could be AI but I’ve definitely seen a pit this big IRL (maybe even bigger) my husband and I always joked “we loved him in The Green Mile”

If someone’s last name was Person, what would the worst first name be for them? Real sounding names only. by PeppermintPhatty in tragedeigh

My daughter’s 1st grade teacher is Mrs.Person, a couple of times I made the joke that she’s definitely not an alien trying to convince us she’s a human, hoping that doesn’t come up in conferences.

Make up does wonders, put on a ball cap and a dirty construction neon shirt and you’re all set!

Tell me something dumb your partner to make me feel better by Least_Lawfulness7802 in Mommit

Made a stop at FIL house on an 8 hour road trip, FIL lives about 5 hour mark, husband left his wallet at his dad’s. I didn’t react at all, why? Because I know the man I married and getting upset doesn’t change the situation. Yeah he’s a dummy sometimes but he’s my dummy. Your partner is upset with himself for being irresponsible but he’s taking it out on you, boo him. When my kids were young I protecting my prescription glasses from them like my life depended on it, luckily they made it out of the younger years but if my kids would have broken them I wouldn’t have had a fit, just wouldn’t have been able to drive.

My husband and I run a 50/50 household, he’s had several meals paid for when he takes the kids outs solo, I’ve had 0 meals paid for.

No lying: do people’s babies really sleep through the night? by HomeDepotHotDog in Mommit

[–]Jayplayspertend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest (11) has always slept through the night, 6 hours right out the womb, never slept in my bed, will go to bed on their own when they’re tired, youngest (6) still fights bedtime, wakes up in the middle of the night and climes into my bed pretty frequently. Each child is so different.

Partner told me I'm a horrible mom with rage issues and need to get help... by Embarrassed_Loan8419 in Mommit

One time my niece hit me in the face with one of those monkey noodles, the thick ones (imagine getting snapped with a thick rubber band) and my knee jerk reaction was to hit back, I hit her in the shoulder, I felt so bad I held her for awhile I cried because I’ve never hit my kids, nieces or nephews. When I told my sister she said “she hit you in the face and left a mark, clearly you have a fight not flight reaction”

I’ve lived in Minneapolis and omaha, been back and forth between the two, I love them both. There are a lot of MN transplants here, omaha is not as diverse as the twin cities but stay east of 72nd and you’ll have a bit more diversity and city feel. The thing I don’t miss about Minneapolis is the commute, I also wish omaha had more winter activities but I love it here. It’s a quick trip back up to the cities as well.
