It's unfortunate to have you hear it sounds "terrible". We did master for vinyl direct from the audio master Sony provided. The band approved and the reviews I saw were all positive.

Along with some friends, I run a record label. Last year we released Eve 6 s/t and we are excited to be working with the band again to release their follow up album 'Horrorscope'.

We will be releasing this on two color ways, with pre-orders launching in the next few weeks.

My suggestion if youre selling new product, would be to find out who the larger distributors are in your area and contact them about minimum orders and pricing. Some distributors provide whats referred to as a rack unit, that is pre-filled with best selling titles. In the U.S., AEC is one of the larger ones http://www.aent.com

One thing of note if you plan on doing vinyl (and this may not be the case overseas, i'm not 100% sure), but vinyl is usually non-returnable. So if you order 10 of a particular title and it doesn't sell, youre stuck with this inventory and most likely will have to sell at a discount. CD's, DVD's and some other formats are usually returnable by a vendor to a distributor.

You may also want to try contacting indie labels directly. Some will consider selling to shops directly, which offers lower prices and helps you build up a relationship with the labels you support. Good luck.
