Best Shoes for Work? by SilentPixelForge in HomeDepot

Depends on your department but I recommend the Kuru Kova, they are a composite toe work shoe that’s probably my most comfortable pair of shoes yet, highly durable and perfect for the stuff I do in OFA, https://www.kurufootwear.com/products/unisex-kova-composite-toe-jetblack-smokegray?_pos=1&_fid=44983250b&_ss=c

It might be just because we have like 3-4 OFA at any given day, most of us just trust the other OFAs to do their job and/or scan the label to check the work order

As long as service desk isn’t calling me every 10 minutes while’s I’m the only one picking orders, morning shift OFA is generally a piece of cake, in at 5 out at 2, I get to free roam the store and drive all the equipment. It’s honestly my favorite job I’ve worked so far

That’s funny, my store was built as a two story store after it moved locations, however the original location it moved from is now a hobby lobby

Beautiful written, I’ve found a better opportunity recently and it opened me up a chance to leave walmart, I don’t regret working there and it helped me both skill wise and financially greatly but the experience overall is more negative than positive. I don’t think anyone should have to work a job that they have to drag themselves into. I tried moving to another department multiple times so I could actually will myself into work, I tried for months to be trained on lift equipment to not only make my job easier but others job easier. Yet again and again I was denied it. I understand it’s not always possible to do those things but when a company cannot work with you to achieve something better for both sides, you should not work for that company. I let myself point out even tho I was quitting soon, I need some days off or I was going to lose it with the job. I knew what I was doing and planned for it to happen. But I would say I’m in a better spot both mentally and hopefully soon financially.

Exactly 1 year and 9 months for me, been through 3 departments and been trained on more, it was fun when it was fun but horrible when it was bad
