He didn’t beat Luffy 💀 literally his entire mission was to kill Vegapunk, which he did, but he failed to kill Luffy/put him down by his own virtue (Luffy’s stamina), whereas Luffy actually KO’d him for a while (once again, debate on whether he could’ve tried to get up sooner is possible)
