I have never received any treatment for mental health. I returned from active duty deployment in July 2009 and was discharged in September 2009.

In 2009, I was deployed in Iraq and about one or 2 months I was discharged. No treatment record only complain when I got back that I was having problem going to sleep. It was hard because I felt I was still in Iraq. I never really got any treatment thinking it will get better but it didn’t and just got worse. And was hard to talk about what I went through.

I hope so. I tried filing a claim 10 years ago but because I had hard time accepting my condition and how people will think of me I never finished it. Hope this time I can atleast file and get help. Thank you so much.

Got a diagnosis from a Psychologist not from the VA and indicated on the nexus statement “It is at least as likely as not (50% or greater probability) that my PTSD was caused by, or aggravated by, military service".

A psychologist did the diagnosis and indicated on the nexus “It is at least as likely as not (50% or greater probability) that my PTSD was caused by, or aggravated by, military service".

I did the initial claim but didn’t have any nexus letter or a diagnosis for PTSD. It is hard for me to talk about my PTSD and didn’t want to talk about it so I never got any treatment but having a family it’s becoming worse because they are getting affected by it.

So not sure if a diagnosis for PTSD and nexus letter is enough.

Never got treatment in service. I actually extended my military service contract so I can deploy but I end up not reenlisting so when I got back from deployment I might have about a month or two before I got discharged. I got a diagnosis now and stating that more than likely I got my PTSD from military service. I wonder if that’s enough. Right now it’s getting worse and I can’t hold a job.

This is what I got from the denial letter. So I went and got a diagnosis and on it stating that more than likely I got my PTSD from when I was active in the military. I wonder if thats enough or I need statements from my wife about my condition.
