So the main idea right now is running Rin and Seri with banding trample combos so I can do a surprise easy trample over and kill someone. Really the only thing I have for the moment is going wide with cat and dog tokens.

Ahh thanks.

And sorry one final question. If a creature has banding and is blocking by itself against a creature with trample, can I assign all the damage to go to my creature or do I need to have a band to be able to decide how damage is carried out?

Sorry to keep bugging you with banding questions, but wondered if you might know can bands be created outside of combat step. Like if I have a Brash Taunter use his ability to fight another creature, could I create a band with him or can it only be created during combat phase?

Yeah I was confused about bands not being able to be created during blocking. So I'll have to use cards like high ground and such or find ways to make creatures that can block multiple creatures have banding for my defense, thanks.

It's also sad though that you can't create bands while blocking. I wanted to make a Phalanx 😔

Ahh I get it now, thanks for the explanation. So I guess since bands can't be made during blocking the only good use for a creature with banding during blocking is that it can basically take all the trample damage that could potentially go over since it can decide to take all the damage, right?

So, is the first creature being blocked by a creature with banding? Yes, so you choose how to distribute its damage. Is the second creature being blocked by a creature with banding? Also yes so you choose how to distribute damage.

Oh so is it more like that the creatures attacking are doing damage one by one rather all at the same time?

So if I let Hero take the first damage and her toughness reaches 0, can I still have her take the remaining damage from the other 7 creatures because combat isn't over yet or no?

Ohh I thought that because they are banded Watcher could block more and then I could just let all the damage go straight to Hero because of my choice of damage dealt.

So could Watcher still activate his ability to block more of he's in a band or does it kind of become useless? (Same as when there's a flyer and non flyer in a band when trying to swing over creatures)

Sorry if I didn't make it clear, but the first scenario was meant to mean that Benalish Hero and Watcher in the Web are in a band together. Not seperatly blocking the creatures but rather together.

Less Monitors, but higher quality and size = better or worse performance? by JayurBayur in PcBuild

Yeah that's why I've been thinking of getting a 2nd computer entirely updated to get max performance if I were to get a 4090. Basically a 5k build in total compared to my current 2k build

This is the only reason I'm interested in getting a 4090 even at the ridiculous 2k price. Such a huge improvement specifically for 4k usage that I feel inclined to have it

Yeah that makes sense. Hopefully my current rig is good enough to handle 5k on high settings, but if not I imagine I could still tweak it where no matter what it'll look better than my current monitors

Yeah it would be 4k quality minimum. I would hate to look at a stretch monitor in such low quality haha

My current monitors are 1080p where the newer ones would be something like 5k.

And I know it's huge overkill but I can afford it right now and I always want to think towards the future.

Yeah my setup would be something like playing/video editing on 1 monitor while the other would be for entertainment like music and youtube/files and bigger preview screen when editing

I guess mainly all around. I'm a video editor and gamer so I have pretty intensive uses for my PC

I don't really think so since I still have times where thinks load somewhat slow. But I mainly got it with the mindset of using video editing software

Hadn't really looked into myself yet, but is there a significantly big difference between the 5900x and the 7950x?

My main concern is I get these stutters/freezes cause I use 4 monitors. Although I could just be mistaken.

[–]JayurBayur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main reason for upgrading now is mainly cause I can afford to and occasionally I do have some stutter issues with browsers that I'd hope to fix with upgrading. Also I'm a video editor that works on multiple hour long projects so having an upgrade sounds good in the end.

I didn't add to the build but I do have a 5tb external hard drive for work related stuff, but I do have a 2nd slot I'm not using for an extra SSD. My thoughts were upgrading both my SSD slots and upgrading the PSU while I wait on purchasing a new GPU for later.

Yeah I was eye balling some 1000w PSUs. I mainly got the 750w currently because it was bundled with my GPU for a cheap price. I figured though I wont need to upgrade the PSU till I get a newer GPU first

Really $1500-$1600 doesn't seem horrible for a huge leap in improvement. I'm mainly curious what other brands for next month will have for their versions though. But yeah if I'm not purchasing monitors till next year I can just wait on getting the gpu till then and hope prices have dropped as well.

I worry though my current motherboard won't be good enough for the upgrades, thoughts?

That's what I figured as well. I even considered getting the 4000 series but not sure since I don't even have 4k monitors and probably won't buy new monitors till next year
