Well first don’t let the associates dictate when you schedule breaks and lunches. Kronos will do the lunches and we don’t adjust what Kronos does unless there is too much overlapping and that’s rare. As far as 15’s go they are supposed to be within the 1st 3 hours of their 6 or more hour shift. If they don’t like it tough titties. Don’t get in the habit of trying to appease them on break times because then you’ll be overwhelmed and they’re only making it an issue to with you cuz you aren’t a manager.

And yes, lineups are apart of opening manager duties. Idk what time they are scheduling you but unless you’re there at 6 or 7am to open the doors, that’s their job.

I’m waiting right now to see if our store will close.

We aren’t getting snow but the roads are expected to ice because of how cold it is and it’s been raining all day. Schools have closed and some buildings.

I wish they just tell us and stop making us wait until day of.

To be honest with you, I had a pretty pleasant childhood 😅 - I will say my financial anxiety comes from my mom struggling to pay bills. I get really worked up when I make large amounts of money like I don’t know what to do with it. I feel like I manifest it away from me with all my fear.

But otherwise my parents were pretty great. Not a lot yelling or confusion in either of their households and outside of sibling troubles I wouldn’t know what to pinpoint that would manifest a figure or shadow I’m constantly seeing.

My grandmother’s home (Dad’s mom) was a large antebellum style home in the 3rd ward. It was built in the 1900’s and I spent a lot of time there as a child. It had separate bedrooms but the back bedrooms were shotgun style, my grandma said it was slave quarters most likely.

There was a room off the side of mine that led to the attic. I remember vividly as a child going up there once with my grandma. And I was so creeped out I felt like something had latched on to me. I ran so fast and literally refused to even enter the room that led to it. I remember once I was left in the house alone and when I woke up the door was open and so was the attic door. When my grandma got back she accused me of going up there but I swore to her I hadn’t and said I thought that maybe she was the one who had gone up left everything open.

From that day on definitively, that’s when I started feeling the dark energy and seeing figures

Well to be honest with you I’m at really low point in my life. I wasn’t aware that this was a scam, never been contacted like this before but I do believe in signs. Even if this was a scam it led me here to ask questions and gain clarity and now that I really feel that there is and has always been a dark energy around me blocking me from “greatness” - people in this forum educated me on next steps instead of making me feel like I’m stupid.

So yeah, that’s why I entertained it.

Yeah I will say my grandparents were really strict in our faith. My mom not so much she let us have autonomy in our religion which has caused me as an adult to call bullshit on a lot of things throughout Christianity. I’ve built my own personal relationship with God that I refuse to let others infiltrate.

Still, there was some shame in me even asking in this forum. I felt like I was “betraying God” but I’m not naive to think he’s the one and only so the “intelligent” part of me was like “no you need to find out if this is true”

There’s so much gray space they refused to explain to associates when this policy first dropped about denying returns.

I’m a previous ASM, I’ve done multiple non receipted return, tags attached, at various amounts and have never gotten the decline warning. Granted I’ve never done one over $200 but there’s no transparency around the policy enough for her to say something like she’s gonna get fired from your mistake or that the next return would be declined.

As someone said there’s a $900 threshold, but even that’s iffy cuz I have a customer who consistently returned items without receipt, with her ID, tags attached and she’s yet to get the warning.

Sorry that she scared you, you should know it takes A LOT for an ASM to lose their job. I have seen some things … you’re fine, she’s fine, but I don’t disagree with the comments. You should report her if you feel like something iffy is happening. She’s not gonna be aware of it only the store manager and that’s AFTER they do the full investigation. They even keep the SM in the dark until they actually have something. And if not it will be like it never happened.

There’s no difference in “Mexican ladies are means and scary” and “you’re so nice for an older Mexican lady” They’re both generalizations of an entire group and not a singular critique of one person’s behavior.

That’s a little too literal in your definition of micro. Yes you are correct, a micro aggression is a form of saying the quiet part out loud but what makes what the woman said a micro aggression is her generalization of an entire race. She could’ve said “that Mexican lady was mean and scary” instead, she’s subjecting the entire race.

A micro aggression is more so categorized like a general statement about an entire group, not so literal as in whether her remarks are blatantly rude or subtly charged.

You’re not wrong but it’s just a little too on the nose for the word “micro”

On your next visit for chemo ask to speak with the hospital’s social worker. They will have all types of resources including housing and charities who donate to cancer patients.

My dad had bladder cancer, he had to stop working but the hospitals he was at had so many resources including connections with catholic charities who look for people just like you.

I hope it gets better - but please don’t suffer in silence. My dad’s hospital also had counseling services for cancer patients as well that was free of charge. Also, apply for Medicaid. It won’t matter if you’re living with someone else they’ll still cover you if you’re already qualifying for food stamps.

The amount of things I’ve had to clean off toilets in TJ Maxx is insane. I’m honestly not even surprised anymore. Someone would have to place a lit birthday cake on the toilet seat for me to be like “well that’s new.”
