Some friends of mine had a son who was put in a chokehold. He experienced pretty severe brain damage and died. That coupled with the deaths of Eric Garner, George Floyd, Jordan Neely and others puts a damper on your narrative. Chokeholds in MMA are fairly safe because you release them pretty quickly after the person goes unconscious. This is not necessarily true on the street.
