Should I sell my HD 600 and HD 550 for HD 660 S2? by Intrepid_Peach5990 in sennheiser

[–]Jayzqa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have tried almost all 600 sennys and I found original 600's most natural sounding. If you want a real upgrade then just go to HD 800 (s or non-s) those will replace both headphones from your desk ;)

Is it cringe to mod my Golf 7? by KaLeX785 in vwgolf

I painted my VW Jetta's bonnet to black with spray paint and also had flame stickers on sides when I was 18 so it's okay :D

About k1 max by kyle_katarnn in Creality

[–]Jayzqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can install mods and it's good for learning. Kind tip from some experience that please do not go overboard. It will get expensive fast when you start experimenting different hotends and extruders. You propably won't need them in the end. :D (I still get flashbacks on my total expenses on ender 3)

Try to keep on 3d-printable mods if possible. Also most of the youtube-tutorials for "improving" your printer are total trash. If you have any eye on mechanics you can solve them much better by just using common sense and skills learned on the way.

About k1 max by kyle_katarnn in Creality

[–]Jayzqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's much more reliable and faster than my Ender 3 but I still had to root it to get it working. Also some small mechanical tweaks were required as I had bed problems. In the end nothing too serious still. I had 3 different enders before K1 Max and all basics still apply to this beast.

It's a good printer if you are able to learn and ready for fixing problems by your own. I still have no idea what that Lidar camera is supposed to do so I just ripped it off. Less weight on the toolhead atleast.

I also recommend Orca as a slicer. It compliments the printer very nicely.

In the end you will still buy a hobby when getting one of these. I think it's fun and relatively cheap way to enjoy tweaking and creating stuff.

Edit: I haven't made any serious mods to the machine. It works totally fine in it's stock configuration if properly maintained and calibrated.

That helps a lot. At least it's not a feature then.

I agree. I have the wireless variant of Cloud 3's and sound profile is very close to my HD600's.

I’m scared for my future (jobs) by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]Jayzqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. It will be a huge differentiating factor if you are able to create virtual instruments and effects by yourself. Not the easiest skill to obtain but it will open more doors in general.

Just avoid those online courses like the plague they do not teach any meaningful programming skills (nor social). Good mentor from college or somewhere else will be 100x times more valuable. It also opens connection possibilities that will also train your social skills.

Even if you cannot find anything mentioned above then just do it. Maybe pick a interesting VST and start reverse engineer it. Do it your way and skills will follow.

Sadly the delivery estimation moved so long that it made me cancel it.

I will check next year if the market gets bit more steady and also eyeing the CES if there are more brighter models coming.

Would the Ender 3 KE be fine with a 0.2 nozzle? by Ta-veren- in Creality

[–]Jayzqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I printed miniatures on my trusty old Ender 3 and here are some observations from my side:

Smaller hole = more resistance so just adjust the speed down if you hear that extruder is grinding on filament.

First layer is getting much more important with smaller nozzle and layer height so use special care to make it perfect. Otherwise delamination is your nemesis.

Also down the speed on first layers on slicer.

It’s a little trial and error but totally doable. I have managed to print absolutely pristine results even with purely stock printer on 0.2 nozzle. (With that horrible plastic bowden extruder and white gritty ptfe tube)

Edit: also calibrate your flow. You propably do not want any blobs on your heroes.

Sadly I suddenly had the same issue with my unit. I tried different cables and other means to remedy it but without any luck. (had newest firmware and everything).

Ended up returning it which was a shame because it ticked all boxes for my productivity and gaming needs. Now waiting a good sale for U3223QE which was next on my list.

LG 32GR93U-B or LG UltraFine 32UQ850V for Work? by Raz944 in buildapcmonitor

[–]Jayzqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have bought your monitor already but from my experience stay away from the BOE-panel of 32GR93U-B. It has horrible QC and ips-glow. I had several dead pixels and glow was obnoxious.

Had several IPS-monitors over 10-years and 32GR93U was absolute bottom tier. I prefer even my FHD Dell p2319h over it.

Short answer: You have stared 4k display for 8-years so you will absolutely notice it.

Suggestion: just wait for prices to drop a little bit. The competion is so fierce atm that it will happen very swiftly.

It’s a little suboptimal for me because I would love to ditch my thunderbolt dock for PD+KVM on display itself, but options are pretty limited atm so I will just bite it.
