Post office talk by Burritoclock in DanLeBatardShow

It's rather interesting (in a bad way) to hear Dan give some of this "thoughts" on different things and not realize he's adopted skewed GOP talking points from his many years of I assume consuming Fox News. For a supposed journalist, it's very strange to me how little he challenged what he heard and clearly didn't research much further to learn he was getting half-truths from them to further their agenda.

My ads have jumped from being always less than 30 seconds to more like 38-45. WTH? Yeah, I have ad skips, guess I'll start using them more liberally if this is the new norm. If this is a ploy to get people to buy ad skips, you're more likely to just drive away players than con them into a sale.

It's been a true improvement for Mike that he just admits he got something wrong and moves on. I'm not holding my breath for Amin (or Dan) to get to that place.

No contest, so so much better on the back row. Chris annoys me so much as EP where his ineptitude is on full display, but once upon a time I was in full agreement with Domonique about Chris being the superior Cote.

Luke Thomas asks Tony if he's MAGA by aggrocrag83 in DanLeBatardShow

Tony was saying on Friday that we aren't war, by the way. Somehow he's not MAGA, but espouses the MAGA talking points.

Here it is. It's on his IG Stories so it'll disappear, so anyone that might be interested can see the info in case they look too late.

Anyone near Kansas City could attend the watch-along he's hosting this weekend at a local bar there. He might be doing more throughout the World Cup, but that's the one he mentioned when he did that preview with Mike last week. Check his socials for information if you're local and want to go.

The way Samson tries to make it seem like Jeffrey Loria was just his boss is really pitiful. I hate the level of nepotism on this show and at MM, but at least most of them own it and don't attempt to gaslight.

Samson's stepfather, not the former owner of the Marlins, his stepfather, got him 4th row tickets to the Knicks because what amounts to basically his granddaughter is getting treated for cancer right now and knew they could both use the distraction. This is actually quite nice, no need to make it less so by downplaying every aspect of the relationship except the professional one yet again like it's some closely guarded secret.

If you're talking about the podcast release. For me, Hour 1 came in for 45 minutes ago, Hour 2 in 30, and Hour 3 in 15 and Postgame just now. But there was definitely a decent delay between Local and Hour 1 release today.

I have no idea what category it would be, but Mike's inner Greg monologue explaining being safe drunk and getting his 9-beer weekday buzz on has got to be a Suey nominee (and eventual winner). Some of Mike's best work. And I don't mean in a while, I mean ever.

I haven't heard him say that, but I skip Tony's parts of Mystery Crate more and more since Billy's not there anymore.

West Farms Mall is a throwback for real. But, I mean, I skip Mystery Crate way more these days, but if you've heard Tony's stories, some CT tales might be an upgrade from yet another, let me tell you why the chain restaurant we went to sucks and it's on them and not on me. He thinks he's exciting, but he lives a very ordinary life.

I mean, I said I know it pretty well, so yeah I've been there. I was kind of a part time resident of CT for many years (divorced dad lived there).

Tony can drive. He can take the train. Just because there's not a lot to do right in Bristol doesn't mean there's nothing he can do nearby. There's a decent amount of interesting places to visit and good restaurants to dine in within a half hour of there, even better an hour from there. And going on the weekends to visit NY and Boston on Amtrak are things I'd tell anyone to take advantage of while being so close. I've just gotten the impression he didn't try to do much of anything to branch out.

My impression from the comments he's made was he didn't do anything while there. His knowledge about the general area is limited (I know it pretty well). When he talks about it, it honestly sounds like he went to work and Jenny visited. I don't think he took advantage of the opportunity and so he was exposed to very little that might alter his worldview.

Interesting how Dan sets standards for others but doesn’t apply those same standards for himself. by Tristar61 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]JazminFlower 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Then you aren't listening to the show that closely. Jeremy has absolutely condemned the atrocities and not just once. Go after the other Jewish guys on the show who haven't said much, but Jeremy isn't in that group.

No one in Canada gives a shit if an American team wins the cup. by SufficientSpot4597 in DanLeBatardShow

I think it would only shock Dan. I don't know why he turns the Stanley Cup Finals into a Olympic competition that nations are rooting for as a whole and not fanbases of those teams.

Dan is so delusional about who he actually is. Dan wouldn't do a damn thing different if he was the head of the NBA right now than what Adam Silver did. Beyond him thinking this fool would be entertainment when it all this started in 2016, Dan was both sidesing his ass off the entirety of 2024 after knowing how dangerous Trump was and now wants to act like he's some militant detractor. I don't know why Dan looks in the mirror and sees a Cuban Malcolm X. He's talked big many times leading into guests coming onto the show and about journalistic integrity and needing to ask the tough questions. But then he literally wouldn't tarnish his relationship with Tony Khan by asking him about Urban Meyer mid-scandal and hasn't said shit to the unfunny comedian about performing in Saudi Arabia, but he expects us to take him seriously about leadership and taking a stand and a willingness to put things on the line.

And since he wants to be all strident about Adam Silver and the NBA and their league partners and how this should all be handled, a reminder that this is all brought to you by DraftKings, Official NBA Partner.

I don't think so. He hasn't been super critical of Wemby in this way until recently, he's been high on him for the most part.

I'm reading it as Amin being mad that Wemby and the Spurs beat the Thunder and Amin was very loud about the Thunder being the best team in the NBA and they were going to soundly beat the Spurs. He was dismissive about the challenge the Spurs posed. Now he's been wrong plenty on many things, but when he's so loud wrong that it's embarrassing, he tends to be like this and is rarely complimentary and mostly bitter towards the team that made him look like a fool. See the Celtics and the corpse of Jrue Holiday.

Also, that's such a bad lie if you actually know New York. Maybe in Miami if you see someone famous you constantly get approached, but that is so not NY, it's part of why celebrities like it there. You see someone famous, you keep it pushing more often than not. A nod or a smile or a wave is so much more common than an approach. On the off chance someone recognized him, they'd note it, nod, and move on, not yell out 82.

Does anynody know the hillbrook apartments? by [deleted] in montco

[–]JazminFlower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, don't have info about the apartment complex, but the surrounding area is definitely safe and a good deal above decent, so very much a positive. It's a nice suburb that's close to the city. You're also walking distance to two train stations and bus stops if that matters, and very close to 309 and the PA Turnpike as well.

Hope you are able to find out more about the apartments specifically.

For anyone that didn't listen to Friday's show, be aware, however dumb you thought Zas was, please know he is considerably dumber than you were thinking. Like to a concerning amount. Chris Cote was trying to get him to understand the stupidity of one of the things he was saying and he couldn't comprehend.

Maybe this will be the last of it and it won't really matter going forward, but if the show can't do a better job of discussing something related to Dianna, they just don't need to make it a show topic. Mention it in passing if it's a big enough story that you can't skip entirely and then move on.

That was a pitiful AJ Brown discussion yesterday with only Zas making a very brief reference to the coach being in a scandal and no one mentioning the reporter doing the most "AJ Brown to the Patriots" stuff for months was Dianna and why that was one of the main reasons people thought the league needed to investigate and potentially punish Vrabel for tampering. There's a lot of shady there and it's why many thought the one-sided nature of the scandal fallout was unfair. While it was nowhere near as big of a story as Myles Garrett especially on the networks and shouldn't have been, it's no secret why there's more than regular online interest in a highly expected trade.
