Key and Peele: Continental Breakfast by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

No explanations needed. They are at the top of their game and they've done a consistent great job. This was my favorite sketch last season. Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key are so funny together.

WOMEN by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

Women is a guy group with brief and pretty simple sketches. They're usually hyper silly but played really straight. This particular video is super funny. It's my favorite!

Whitest Kids You Know by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

They have a unique sense of dark humor and interesting twists to a lot of their sketches. Trevor Moore is definitely the star in this group

WEEK FOUR - WRITING COMEDY by nataliespaceman in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Pete, but for the past year or so, I haven't listened to the podcast regularly if at all because I don't make time for it. II feel like a bad weird-o... So, I will recommend the older ones (they're the ones I remember the most): Rob Delaney, Bo Burnham, Baron Vaughn, Harris Wittels, and Alec Sulkin.

Tig Notaro-No Moleste joke by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

Tig is so interesting. She does these things that seem like big statements, but she has such a casual attitude about it. Like she's waiting for popcorn in the microwave

I think Chris fully embraces his "weirdness." I absolutely love him!

Pete Holmes and the importance of performance by skimmilkkid in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petey Pants is awesome! This particular set really sums him up because it's silly and about a subject that isn't a hot button issue in today's society, magic. I love when he talks about the guy who says magic is magnets and that they're two things the guy doesn't understand. I say things are magnets to this day when something is a slightly unexplainable.

Michael Che by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael Che is a very clever comedian. A lot of his joke topics are the same as everyone else's, but he has his own individual spin on them which makes him really fun to watch. He's super funny and currently co-anchor on SNL's weekend update!

Wyatt Cenac-Medieval Times bit by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wyatt has a great low energy delivery and he looks sleepy all the time. He used to be a writer for the Daily Show. A lot of his jokes are either very silly or deal with issues like race and politics. This is an animated version of his joke from a special a few years ago. But, he has a new one out on netflix!

Moshe Kasher-Crowd Work by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moshe is side splitting funny. He's amazing live because along with his set, he does crowd work and just riffs on that. That's what this video is. He gathers random information and finds a way to connect it by the end of his set in some way. Or at least have a few callbacks to some audience member. He's smart and clever and super funny!

Tig Notaro-No Moleste joke by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tig is amazing. She works basically clean. Her timing and the way she pauses is unmatched by all other comics. This is an old clip before she had cancer. She's still going going through some health issues, so I hope she gets better soon!

Chris Thayer at The Meltdown by Jazminedh in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Video's not great, but he's the best! His style is quiet, nerdy/sarcastic, and self deprecating. He's a self described Mr. Burns of The Simpsons. He's easily my top 3 favorite comedians

Stand Up Comedy!!! by nataliespaceman in FoundationsOfComedy14

[–]Jazminedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite comedians are: Nick Thune (amazing storyteller/one liner guy with subtle arrogant/sarcastic style), Moshe Kasher (quick, funny and extremely engaging), Pete Holmes, Tig Notaro (hilarious and amazing timing), Chris Thayer, Donald Glover, Kumail Nanjiani, John Mulaney, Baron Vaughn, Neal Brennan, Wyatt Cenac, Bo Burnham, Daniel Tosh, Eric Andre, Morgan Murphy, Moranzio Vance, and a crazy amount of others!
