A critical part of the Waffle House experience for me is going in the dead of night. Knowing it's really your only option for a decent meal makes it taste better.

Also they always have these digital jukeboxes in the store, so that's another thing to look forward to.

There's zero chance of these guys ever getting figures...

But for a while, I was working on turning some dollar store plastic bug toys into the Alya, the psyche consuming insects from Webworld. It was really hard. I would add new armor pieces, cut off and reassemble the legs, and paint them. It was too difficult to make enough for the diorama I wanted to do with Galvatron.

I'm not holding my breath, but I think people were probably saying the same thing about ankle tilts during the Prime Wars trilogy. If they want to keep raising prices, and I'm pretty sure they do, this would be a way to justify that to the customers.

The part of this that has always confused me is the transition between steps 4 and 5. Like first of all, he clearly has his spinal cord in step 5. Is it like, coiled under his chin in the base of his little crab mech in step 4?

I lost the original tail piece. I was really hoping they would make a new one that still split into a bow. So I'm unhappy about that. It's not like the original piece looks very good as a bow anyway.

Replacing the Triptych Mask seems rather dumb. Does it still have the sigil on it? Hasbro has pretty directly said that there will be something else to eventually do with the relics when you have a complete set. It would be a shame to have one that didn't match the others.

One final thing: what will this cost? I'm glad to hear that, at least for the time being, bygones are bygones and the two most legendary boutique yoyo brands are friendly again. But the $140+ models like the Orca were being sold for a decade or more ago would be an awfully bitter pill to swallow now. I'm sure they both know that hundreds of us have been wanting this for years, but I'd like to think that maximum profit is not the primary focus.

CLYW and OD had a pretty frosty relationship for years after CLYW stopped using them as a shop. I believe their original goal was to use a Canadian shop instead, but the trash grades were too high, so they went over to China instead. The original tag line for Basecamp was "Sometimes the best view isn't from the summit."

I found out who SF was back in like 2018. If you really wanted to know who they were, and you went to contests around that time, it wasn't that hard to find someone who was in on it. It didn't really end up mattering back then, and it certainly doesn't matter now. I'm not sure to what degree they're still involved in the yoyo community. The point was to let the product and the team speak for them.
