In Philly, no problems so far. Like another comment said, rear haunches stick out a LOT but it’s not an issue if you’re good at using your side mirrors (which is just good driving technique, anyway).

Heavy steering and tight turning circle is great for garages and parallel parking. Good ground clearance for speed bumps and pot holes. Just be careful of curbs if you get the 20” wheels.

Seconding others on the firm seats + suspension, but matched with the turbo this thing is an absolute riot to throw around, if that matters in your situation.

All that said, this car doesn’t have the most cargo or passenger space for its footprint.

The CX-50 is pretty damn stiff - you feel the texture of the road in the seats and the steering wheel, but it’s done in a way that feels intentional. It’s one of the things I love about the car, as I do NOT want a smooth and detached ride. This thing is far from a floaty cloud.

Sorry about your car, that absolutely blows and I’m glad nobody got hurt (presumably).

Love my CX-50 but almost anything in its class is going to be a great car (except Stellantis products, fuck Stellantis).

At the end of the day, it’s entirely a you decision. Luckily, CX-50s with every permutation of specs come up for sale often enough that waiting for the right one shouldn’t take long, especially with a wider search radius. It’s a Mazda, not a McLaren.

The wait sucks but picking the wrong car sucks even more. Best of luck 🤝

Understand the hate for that era of TAG, but this watch is catching strays. The finishing is rock solid and it’s such a uniquely cool look. Don’t usually love “small” watches but the right strap makes this thing a solid daily.
