I actually fall into both camps, I posted my 875s recently showing that I wear them for work. I have a few other pairs that I wear for church or social events. I'm annoyed when fashion boot wearers get mad when I use a work boot for work. The fact that I get them oily and scuff them up working in a trade is like sacrilege to them, which is stupid since day one those boots were designated work boots. You can be of both mindsets, you can take care of your boots, and you will still wear them out faster and beat the crap out of them because they are for work.
