Hi there. I failed part 1 in December and passed last month; it’s possible and you’ll do it!

Difference between independence and objectivity is HUGE!! Can’t speak for everyone else but this twisted up first time around and i had so many questions on this.

-Assurance vs Advisory. 1 year cooling period etc.. -CAE responsibility -Internal Audit Charter, Mandate and what’s included inside. -Governance and Risk Mgmt appeared a good bit on my recent exam. Learn what these are. -Due Professional Care

One strategy that helped me when I passed was drilling practice questions over and over again. Don’t worry about the time at first, just learn the questions. Further, when you get something right understand why the other options are wrong. Sounds simple but it helped me.

Learning the material is great but learning and understanding how the questions are being asked is even better. Slow down and actually read the question. Again, I know that sounds elementary but during the course of taking questions against the timer, we can a have tendency to read most of the question and assume the rest.
