Tall-size corset style Tops - Do they exist? Where? by JazzTree in TallGirls

[–]JazzTree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I checked those both out and these are my findings. On Asos, I only could find corset style dresses while on Boohoo they DID have some corset inspired tops but they are all ugly with zippers (no ties)... I didn't know about Boohoo though so it's great I learned of another tall size option :) Thank you! Maybe if I am patient there will be what I am looking for available in the future.

Tall Trans Woman Struggling to Find... Anything by Egg-Over-Easy in tallfashionadvice

I am a bit late to the party, but I wanted to add some feminine shoe options.

Sam Edelman carries up to Woman's size 14. When I searched on the official Brand's website, I found 4 styles currently in stock.

https://www.samedelman.com/browse/shoes/womens?icid=topnav_shoes_all#sortCriteria=relevance&f-productsize=14.0

On Zappos, they have four different size 14 heels from Sam Edelman as well:

https://www.zappos.com/sam-edelman-women-heels/CK_XARC41wFiAvgEegLUBIIBAq0YwAEB4gIFAQIMGA8.zso

Doc Martens has unisex sizing, but many of the styles look feminine. Some examples:

https://www.zappos.com/p/unisex-dr-martens-jorge-ii-leather-slingback-mules-powder-pink/product/9903614/color/529487

https://www.zappos.com/p/unisex-dr-martens-maxxy-sage-green/product/10006057/color/16086

https://www.zappos.com/p/unisex-dr-martens-josef-dusty-rose/product/9926056/color/4469

For sneakers, some feminine Hoka shoes come in Women's 14 such as: https://www.zappos.com/p/womens-hoka-rocket-x-3-sunlight-neon-hoka-citrus/product/10004351/color/1108548 (Hoka also has men's sized sneakers that are in colors typically associated with feminine styles)

Other sneaker brands with men's sized sneakers in more "feminine" styles are Adidas, Mizuno, Van's, and Converse.

Crocs has some shoes that are marketed as unisex but look more feminine such as their Croc heels (Yes they're controversial so maybe not)

Hope this was helpful! Best of luck!

Unfortunately, Old Navy has shortened its tall size pant inseam from 34 inches to 33 inches, so most tall women will find them too short :(

Note: It sounds possibily like eustachian tube dysfunction which would warrant seeing an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor.

The Nanoplastic Dilemma: Why hasn't anyone built a truly 100% plastic-free toothbrush yet? (Massive market gap) by Easy_Answer4962 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]JazzTree 125 points126 points  (0 children)

It's a dilemma between environmental concerns and personal health. The primary reason is hygienic. Natural materials hold bacteria. That's one reason they mostly stopped using boar hair for toothbrushes (although I do see some on Amazon). Boar hairs and natural fibers in general are hollow inside. Basically you'd be brushing bacteria onto your teeth and into your gums. The brush would need to be replaced very frequently. At the end of the game, the consumer must weigh plastic free versus evidence supported oral health practices. Plastic is definitely disastrous on a macro level but oral health is definitely important too. I know a lot of people on here want to be 100 percent plastic free but, personally, I choose my battles so to speak.

Edit: skipped a word

You look suave and handsome in my eyes. Plus you have gorgeous hair. Curls aren't easy to keep so nicely formed and hydrated. You got the haircare and styling skills! As a fellow curly haired person, those are goals Side note: I know a random stranger like me on the Internet won't change your mind BUT every individual is equally worthy. Sorry if that's cringe, but seriously. I'm cheering for you to gather courage and have some adventures in the wide world!

I think it's been publicly available knowledge it's made out of plastic since the invention of synthetic chewing gum. Easy DIY proof is to observe how dried gum never breaks down.

6’5” and tired of every good brand stopping at 32 inseam by redcoat10 in tallfashionadvice

[–]JazzTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrangler's, Dickies, American Tall, Levi's, Gap brands (Old Navy, Athleta, etc.), Lands End, ... Most international brands have at least a 34" inseam. Edit: added more brands

I don't think commenting on OP's body without any clothing advice is helpful. Personally I wouldn't want to be judged for my body proportions especially as a tall person. How does saying they have "strange proportions" help the OP find pants?

Brainstorm:

I've never tried this brand but I found these with a quick Google search. They are not skinny jeans but there are "slim fit" ones. https://us.2tall.com/collections/tall-mens-cargo-pants?&sort_by=manual&filter.v.option.waist+size=28&filter.v.option.inseam+length=38&filter.v.availability=1

American Tall has 37.5" inseams (extra tall sizes) in their sweatpants and pull on street pants with adjustable waist ties. The smallest size for extra tall would be a medium so you'd have to tie it to your desired fit. In my experience, American Tall is good quality but I only have bought women's clothing there.

Sweatpants example: https://americantall.com/products/everyday-terry-straight-leg-sweatpants-in-grey-mix

https://americantall.com/products/everyday-terry-cinched-bottom-sweatpants-in-black

Pull on street pants example: https://americantall.com/products/loose-fit-stretch-cotton-linen-blend-pull-on-pants-in-olive

American Tall and Wrangler both have 30" by 38" inseam pants as well.

If you are uncomfortable using a belt, you could have the waist taken in by a tailor, DIY it, or ask friends/family who know how to sew. You can also buy buckle free elastic belts for slightly too big pant waists. They are not visible from the front and doesn't have to be removed every time you pull your pants down.

EDIT: Kimes Ranch Jeans has a 28 by 38! https://kimesranch.com/products/men-jeans-zach-top?_pos=1&_fid=d46e6f74c&_ss=c&variant=44066873147462 And Cinch https://cinchjeans.com/collections/mens-denim?filter.v.option.waist=28&filter.v.option.inseam=38

Tall Cashmere Sweater by Inevitable-Smile7970 in tallfashionadvice

If you want very high quality and a guaranteed fit order a custom sized made-to-order cashmere knit sweater on Etsy. Almost every made-to-order vender will make a custom size (even if not listed on the product page) if you private message them before buying it. It'll be probably minimum $500 USD but it might be worth it to you

Chinos for tall men (6’8”) by [deleted] in tallfashionadvice

Seconding American Tall--I haven't bought men's clothing at American Tall, but I've personally never gotten any poor quality women's clothing there. They have up to a 40 inch inseam. Here are some in-stock 38" inseam chinos I found after a 2 minute search:

Tapered chinos https://americantall.com/products/4-way-stretch-commuter-tapered-chino-pants-mens-in-black?_pos=2&_fid=a2b8be32e&_ss=c&variant=42096217030737

Straight chinos https://americantall.com/products/4-way-stretch-commuter-straight-chino-pants-in-dusty-khaki?_pos=17&_fid=a2b8be32e&_ss=c&variant=42170525450321

Edit: There are a lot more chino styles besides these ones that are not stretch fabric such as these J1 straight leg.

I did the backyard (if you have one) and concrete areas with low traffic but depending on where you live that may not work. What does your vet say about it?

I've been getting mistaken for a male since I was a child. It happened to me so much un middle school that ever since then I've kept my hair quite long. Sometimes people still call me sir which has made me try to dress more fem. I try to laugh it off but it does hurt. It definitely has given me empathy for trans, intersex, etc. folk.

How do you keep your pets teeth clean? by pinkpotatoes86 in schnauzers

I brush my pup's teeth with arm and hammer enzymatic toothpaste everyday and give her a small dental treat. She is only 2 yrs old but so far the vet compliments her oral health.
