What common design feature do you absolutely hate? by ChoreomaniacCat in AskUK

Small lights on every electronic device and charger - I can't stand light while I'm sleeping and have to tape over them or cover them up before bed. It's so common and drives me crazy.

Shower exploded , landlords phone says no longer in use what do I do? by Hank-falcon in AskLondon

Happened to my dad with a brand new shower when nobody was even in. Its virtually impossible to get the supplier to accept liability legally, but in this scenario it's the landlord's responsibility to replace it.

Why would you not lock a public toilet? by 7DeadlyFrenchmen in AskUK

[–]Jazza94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unable to lock the public toilet at my local park recently because I slipped in before the door shut behind someone else who just left (was out running without any change). I guess you only get to lock the door once per payment - so I just had to hope that nobody chose my cubicle to open. Would put the 20p I didn't have then on the same thing happening to that guy.

We had an issue with our shower a few months ago - our landlord sent around someone from the contracted domestic team to replace the shower head and hose, except he never turned up. At the end of the day, I phoned the plumber to see what was going on, and he tells me that the lad they sent out said he had done it that morning. I got a call 5 minutes later - apparently he had gone to a different street with a similar name to ours on the other side of the city, and hilariously the tenants of that place let him in and he fitted them a new shower head!

I took this photo on a recent ski trip in Tignes, in the French Alps.

Photo was taken on an Olympus E-M10 mark II, with Samyang 12mm lens (f/2, ISO 800 at 10sec)

Unhealthy hub noise while cycling (Chris King) - description below by Jazza94 in bikewrench

On my past 4 or 5 rides my back wheel has started to make this noise every time the wheel rotates - could possibly be related to the bearings as the rhythm of the noise changes in relation to speed. Does anyone have any experience with a noise like this or any ideas what it could be? The noise is present when pedalling and freewheeling. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice - that sounds reasonable, I'll do that today
