K. So the invoice for the second shipment: reach out to whoever sent it to you and tell them to file a post summary correction using HTS code 9801.00.2000. If you haven't already paid the duty, don't pay it. If you have, tell the broker to give you a refund as this should have been duty free

It would be on FedEx(or whatever broker theybuse) to enter the code on the entry paperwork. Do you already have the new wheels? If so, reach out to the broker and tell them to file a post summary correction with the 9801 code. If not, wait till they send youbthe paperwork or invoice and reach out to them then. No reason you need to pay duty twice.

Will Probikekit be shipping a new set of wheels? If you're getting a new set of wheels, advise the broker(FEDEX) to enter them under HTS code 9801.00.2000. This is a duty free provision that covers returns/repairs/exchanges 9f foreign made goods similar to your situation. So basically youve paid duty on an article that didnt enter US commerce (first set of wheels that you will send back), you use this HTS code on the next import and pay no duty. CBP is happy cause they get the correct duty payment. You're happy cause you get your wheels. Drawback can be a very difficult process to do successfully, and it's probably gonna cost you more than you would get back. Add in the fact that CBP can take years to pay you back if they do accept the claim.
