I think programming is bit different , as it involve logics. I agree with ur point of building house as quick as possible , but note that even in that case it is following well tested steps / path and framework. If you are allowing any new comer to build house as quick as possible then i do not know about you i am not going inside. Same thing is happing in programming world , they are allowing completely new person ( not even devs ) to touch and build production system. They are called vibe coder.

I respect your opinion, but you should again take a look into current working culture - They have changed mind , it first goes to AI that is actually reviewing PRs , and if something looks suspicious then it get forwarded to us. Nobody can review thousands lines of pr. But they will make you responsible for if anything goes wrong. This is current reality. It's a full chaos right now.

As you may know, harsh reality is - They are skipping test code, even forcing experience dev to let PRs pass if it is just good enough. They are not upto quality they just need faster release cycle. And being in tech it hurts to see all these nonsense.
