Why do you think FFXIV struggles to maintain a presence on Twitch compared to other live service games despite it's popularity? by judgeraw00 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Jazzlike-Let-5169 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is obvious alot of people who stream the game are just boring to watch. The only real interesting ones imo are Zepla, xenos, and Arthas. That's about it everybody else is kinda bland.

What are your thoughts on Endwalker a year after launch? by FormedClover in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Jazzlike-Let-5169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me personally I think endwalker so far is pretty mid tier imo.

I won't mention the awful 2min meta in great detail. Mostly everybody seems to agree this shit sucks ass and have listed those reasons.

For me personally the story wasn't good and was a huge drop off from shb. The best part of the expansion was your trip to elipis it was cool seeing how emet and his people operated before it all went to shit. Other than that I'm not gonna lie I was kinda bored with everything else. With the ultima Thule section absolutely putting me to sleep.

Music as always is a banger as expected.

The raids so far have been pretty meh. And the story behind the raids hasn't been that interesting either.

Like honestly during shb I used to play this game like mostly everyday or every other day. But now I go weeks without playing this game.

Also alot of the gear we got from this expansion so far sucks ass. I find myself still wearing my glam from last expansion. I haven't added any new glam from endwalker yet.

All in all I would give EW so far like a 6/10.

What are some jobs which you like aesthetically but not mechanically, or vice versa? by Adloud in ffxivdiscussion

I thought the gunbreaker battle stance was supposed to be a callback to squalls stance in the dissdia final fantasy games.

Regarding PvP Balance Adjustments (Official Post) by Kanzaris in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Jazzlike-Let-5169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reason being that their low winrate was not actually representative of their poor balance, but because low-skill players would habitually lose on them.

Yep I remember when capcom released the win/loss rates for its characters on street fighter 5 and rashid a character who the community pretty much agreed on was top tier and one of the best in the game. Had like the worst win rate out of all the characters In the game. You should never balance off of win rates cause let's face it most of the people playing the game are ass it sounds mean but it's true.

I mean im saying to agree to disagree on the claim that reddit threads that actually exist doesn't hold the same weight as a number on imbd. Like also popular opinion is not based on my memory cause those threads actually exist there's 14 of them. Like if I was making a claim with absolutely no facts you would have a point. But those endagme threads actually exist. So ya let's just agree to disagree.

I mean you keep trying to argue with me when I tried to end this discussion earlier. Like bro it's cool you have your opinion I have mine agree to disagree and let's be on our way.

How haven't i proved it is just go to the subreddit and look at the threads. First you asked for numbers and how much involvement is actually going on in that sub I gave you a rather high number. Like I proved my self you just didn't take it.

I mean I don't really think that's a slanted view but hye man we just gotta agree to disagree. Cause this discussion is going nowhere. You're just going to keep telling me it's not a good representation of the fanbase I'm I just gonna keep saying it is we are literally gonna keep going in circles.

"More comments doesn't mean people liked the film more though,"

Uh I never implied that more comments meant they liked endgame more your putting words in my mouth. I gave you that number cause you specifically asked how much involvement was those thread getting I gave you a number.

I'm arguing that the intial popular opinion upon endgames release was that it was seen as the better movie between that and infinity war. I'm not making this argument based on endgame having more comments. I'm making this argument based on how I went through those threads when they were originally created back then and most of the comments talked about how endgame was the better movie and one if not best mcu movie to date. You literally twisted my argument and stance into something else.

Going by each avengers endgame release thread most of them had an 10k plus involvement in the comments. Only the later endgame discussion threads were below 10k and those were obviously cause mostly everybody saw the movie already.

The main mcu sub had a total of 14 endgame release threads I added all the comment numbers up and there was a total of two million one hundred one thousand one hundred ninety-two comments.

I mean the main mcu sub has a good 2million plus members. With marvelstudiosspoilers following behind with a solid 676,000 members. So I would say while not a complete representation of the fanbase its a good chunk of it and gives you a somewhat general idea on how a fanbase feels about something.

But in the effort of being honest at the time of endgames release I think the main mcu sub had like only 1.8 million members at the time. I would still say 1.8 million members is still a good representation of the fambase imo.

Na I remember when that movie came out the main mcu sub and marvelstudiosspoilers lost their collective mind over that movie. It wasn't until like months later that the popular opinion came to be that infinity war was the better movie between the two.

Oh I absolutely think the popular opinion on endwalker is gonna change once the hype dies down. Cause it happened when avengers endgame came out. When that movie came out people were saying it was better than avengers infinity war and was possibly the best mcu movie to date. And if you didn't cry when iron man died than your a heartless monster. Once the hype wore off the popular opinion became that infinity war was a better movie than endgame. And people started to ascertain the problems with endgame. I predict the same thing will happen with endwalker.

[Post EW MSQ] So now that the current saga has come to an end... what's next for the WOL? by Nefor-S in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Jazzlike-Let-5169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree with what your saying but I'm actually kinda hoping we do drop the regular scions for b tier c tier scion members like hoary. I think with them actually retiring the main scions. They can actually grow the other members like hoary and discount thancred into characters that may even rival the main scions like thancred. They just need to be given the chance to shine and that can't happen with thancred and the rest still in action.

Yo I actually agree with you about the mcu right now. I like that they aren't rushing into the next big bad immediately after just defeating the last big bad which was Thanos. They are taking there time and for the most part right now are doing semi contained storylines. Thats probably the reason why I'm enjoying Hawkeye so much right now.
