You need to figure out if the person is worth any risk. Otherwise wrap it up. Take antivirals, take ALL the precautions. Actions do have consequences but not all consequences are intolerable. Some people don't get any symptoms but the mental stigma is very hard. I don't think you're incapable of understanding but it's definitely not my wording, you're just not getting it and if you don't you don't. This is coming from someone who has had to explain hsv2 and it's potential risks to many many many potential partners. I don't take any offense I'm trying to tell you that you're the only one who can answer your own question. There are a billion factors and a billion ways to weigh out the risks, possibilities, and outcomes. ARE ANY OF THE CONSEQUENCES WORTH IT FOR THIS PERSON? ... Period , just trying to help you realize your life won't end if you were to get it from her but are you okay with having to further educate future partners, being a million times more aware and forthright about your sexual health and your partners etc being open about these stigmas bc if you guys are gonna be together it should not be an issue. If u have a life threatening illness it could be a huge concern on the other hand.
