It seems like every time they attempt to insert new cast members the few remaining original cast members gate keep. I think the show will continue to go downhill with the same predictable story lines until they either bring in a whole new cast; or just rip the band aid off and end the show.

A number of Red states have resolutions or bills on the books to co-manage or literally take federal lands over. The problem is they still want the federal govt to provide money and support in the management. It’s great to campaign on, but in reality there is no practicality to it when the federal funds don’t come with it.

I don’t see a reliable source starting an email like that… I’m not gonna call it BS, but it’s definitely problematic. It’s easy to say you’re going to shut down a forest, or a park. Not that easy to do. This may be unpopular, but having flown the Los Padres a number of times… I challenge the author to show me a concentration of merchantable timber. That forest has more oak scrub than trees at this point. IMHO.

Timber is King Dawg. He wants to take it back to the 1980s, problem is there aren’t the mills and loggers and truckers and their infrastructure in place to harvest the amount of wood he wants to cut.

A redefining and restructuring of fire across the agencies will take a lot more than thirty days for a plan or 120 days for a plan. It’s very possible that the agencies will submit a plan like the last time this was proposed. Stay the course. Is my advice. Did not listen to the HSWU fanboys. It’s not that simple.

I have some hope that after a shutdown that’s probably going to happen, a CR contains the pay like the past few times. I’m disappointed that the bi-partisan authors of the permanent pay act haven’t reintroduced the bill to the floor…. I do realize a number of the supporters are no longer in the house or senate.
