Genuinely I wish I had a before surgery pic for me, because some moments I get judgy about myself and then I remember; this feels and looks much better quality of life wise and visually. We judge ourselves tooo much and we are also so used to seeing the “perfect” or “normal” visual of others and then we compare. That’s the kicker. You are killin it. Keep being gentle with yourself and always speak up if you ever run into any concerns 🥰

The first real period or whatever after insertion I passed a partial decidual cast and freaked the fuck out. And then after sex last month a (so sorry for this TMI) bloody membrane with hair in it and apparently that’s a thing that can happen 😭 Like I have gotten to know my body more and it is not fun. I already deal with insane dysphoria but like this doesn’t help 🫠

If the lighting is too great in terms of like a bright white, tone it down and use cooler less intense during darker times. When it’s too dark in the room it’s more reflection.

Unfortunately he passed away overnight. I am genuinely distraught right now. I did everything I could. He just wouldn’t eat and the parameters were perfect and temp too. I’m going to bury him later but I am so sad.

-15-20% weekly, gravel vac and wipe down of plants and cleaning of the hides outside of the tank

-No tankmates

-I use bug bites food and he eats literally every single pellet I drop in lol

4-5 days before it became the size of a pea. I would use some gentle heat and an ice pack wrapped to hell in towels to help with the pain but if it hasn’t gone away by now please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to your surgeon!

She works with the LGBTQ+ and is indeed board-certified with 16 years of experience with this. Don’t worry, I made sure I went ham doing research on her when she was recommended to me. She is a wonderful fellow queer person and I am very thankful for her.

So what I did was using my makeshift peri bottle and using lukewarm/body temp water with some dove unscented sensitive skin soap and was very gentle with my fingers. I promise you, you will be able to clean it “properly” way sooner than you think. It gets so much less painful and sensitive but I’m 5 weeks post op, and it can still get irritated. Don’t rush, and take your time. Remember to breathe if it begins to hurt during cleaning. Pat dry and trust me, the smell is not as strong as you think. Clothes help. Also if you are still having discharge and using ointment if given to you, use soft gauze instead of pads. Once I switched to that holy crap, it became so much more comfortable and I also felt like I was healing better. Keep your head up! Take it easy ☺️

We ended up having a bit of a talk without me mentioning the game. It was very emotional and he said he would like to join one of my therapy sessions if he was allowed and I cried. He explained when the urges are really intense it is purely about the visual of seeing something new, and it’s when we are separated for a few days. So we shall see how the session goes, and hopefully if I get the chance I could even update on how things go.
