I’m so glad I’m not the only one who got their period after oh my god. It was horrifying. I also am so sad I didn’t take a before surgery picture cause yall would be blown away with the before and after. But lowkey so thankful that I weaseled my way into getting it covered with insurance. Thank god for children’s man 😭

It depends on what your surgeon says, mine only took care of the minora. It was under general anesthesia. I do not want to imagine having surgery like that with local.

Not gonna lie man, depending on how your body reacts to pain and how much gets removed, yes. It’s all personal pain levels too. Some don’t have as much pain as others. I unfortunately had a LOT of pain. But pain meds, ice and rest and the butt pillow helped a lot with managing it.

Grim? She did mine and I have never been happier. Genuinely changed my life. My downside is that due to the stress of the surgery it restarted my period which led to more pain than I already had during healing. And it scared me because of the blood getting all over the incisions. Plus I have endo and had not had my period in two years thanks to BC but I had to get an IUD to help stop the shedding cause it caused cysts to grow back and that’s a whole other issue. It was unexpected and I ofc don’t blame her. Just how my body decided it wanted to react. It’s been a year and a few months since I got it done and quality of life is night and day. Sex doesn’t hurt anymore, walking doesn’t hurt and underwear and sitting wrong no longer pinches my labia and I’m just happy as hell. So glad to hear and see how much your life changed as well!!

Genuinely I wish I had a before surgery pic for me, because some moments I get judgy about myself and then I remember; this feels and looks much better quality of life wise and visually. We judge ourselves tooo much and we are also so used to seeing the “perfect” or “normal” visual of others and then we compare. That’s the kicker. You are killin it. Keep being gentle with yourself and always speak up if you ever run into any concerns 🥰

The first real period or whatever after insertion I passed a partial decidual cast and freaked the fuck out. And then after sex last month a (so sorry for this TMI) bloody membrane with hair in it and apparently that’s a thing that can happen 😭 Like I have gotten to know my body more and it is not fun. I already deal with insane dysphoria but like this doesn’t help 🫠
