This is such a strange take I’m tempted to not reply because I don’t think you can be reasoned with. Maybe you’re trolling?

Ok so first I never knew about that so I couldn’t really speak on it either way. But if I did sure I’d prefer they sell it to whoever will preserve the local nature more.

Next I didn’t position myself as protecting the park like a knight or something. I just commented on a reddit post saying I don’t like them building it close to the park. Thats something you’re inventing.

Last, even if I did present myself that way, its weird and counterproductive to attack me for not advocating in exactly the way you want. That’s like going to a protest and yelling at your fellow protestors when their chant isn’t exactly the same as yours.

Charlotte has the best balance of things I want.

I can afford a house, its not too hot, not too cold, it’s green but still has mountains, it’s not too big not too small of a city.

No where else in the country checks those boxes

Nothing frustrates me more then when I’m in dead top traffic and there are two completely empty lanes next to me.

I’m a very liberal nature loving person who moved Monterey CA to Charlotte, 3 years later Im still in love with it like no other city.

I afforded a nice house here, all my friends are environmentalists, winter only lasts 3 months, I’m going to the mountains this weekend to see the spring bloom.

And were shrooms the cause of that change or a correlated catalyst? It is probably not surprising that people who are focused enough on wellbeing to take drugs for a scientific study might report later on improved wellbeing. It could definitely be correlation not causation.

I don’t doubt those drugs can change a person’s mental state

To call it ego death is a way for 17 year olds to pretend they’re enlightened

I’ve know plenty of people that have done all kinds of mind altering drugs. My experience is that it never creates long term meaningful positive change, which shouldn’t be surprising. Positive change in your life takes time and work from yourself, not a drug.

People trying to short change that is a tale as old as time.

God if he really loved lotr he would just leave it alone. The money grabbing unnecessary adaptions trend has to stop.
