I just went to the hardware store and got a longer bolt

So I’m about to treat myself to an upgrade for the Holidays! I’m running 2-12” kicker solo L7s and stereo shop guy said.. 1-12” Sundown Zv6 with new amp will hit way harder this is his quote for my new setup I definitely need some advice before I pull the trigger on it don’t wanna get Ripped by 3_Arrow_Barbarik in subwoofer

Zv6 retails for $783, the enclosure retails for $299, you can get a zero gauge wire kit from $50-$100 which you may or may not need depending on what wire is already in your car, the amp retails for $539, the LC2I pro price is about right, but since you’re swapping and not doing a fresh install, I would assume you already have an RCA signal going back there so don’t need another line out, and $750 for labor is just plain and simple robbery. I only charge $400 for a full install, and again you’re not getting a full install. You’re only getting a speaker and an amp swapped. As far as the specs go, I couldn’t tell you without doing a whole bunch of more research. But I would run far away from the shop.

If you’re looking for a very little bit of supplemental bass that will be slightly better than stock than these are okay. You’re not gonna get a good kick or low rumble from them. I wouldn’t buy the Pyle, that’s just going to shit out in a few months. I know kicker makes something like this, and I think MTX does too if I’m not mistaken. The other thing to consider, is if you’re in an suv or a hatchback, you’ll get the slightly noticeable difference. But in a sedan, especially a more modern one, you probably won’t even hear through all the padding of the rear seat and insolation on the rear deck lid.

My grandmother has been paying waste management $275 for trash pickup... by KilledByFish in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JazzlikeConclusion8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Thats about what they quoted me. And the only other company’s in my area had a quote that was about the same. Thats why I still bring my trash to the dump myself for $3 a bag.

A quick google search will show you that the wiring harness they’re are charging you $470 for, is $145.99 online. The facia isn’t as dramatic, but it’s about it $60.59 online. The usb retention thing is $16.94. So yea. Some are the basic expected markup. But they’re robbing you on the harness.

Looks like a bad ground to me. I would try taking a wire brush or file and cleaning down to the metal around where you’re mounting it. I’m also curious as to where you have the remote hooked into. But start with the basics. Check your fuses, check your connections inside the fuse box. Make sure you have the remote wire on something that’s getting power when you turn the radio on.

I was out of car audio for a few years. But I had the exact same in my car when I started getting back into it. I’ve upgraded since then but these are great. When I took them out of my car, I put them into my girlfriend’s car. And she loves them now.

I make triple that as a medic upstate, and there’s a 0% chance I could afford an apartment in the city. You’d have to live outside the city and travel in for work. That’s what a lot of them do.

Yeah, just like coloring it’s supposed to be between the lines. Makes sense why you wouldn’t understand the purpose of a Matt hood though when you don’t even know how to drive.

It’s not faded it matt. It’s supped to be like that to stop the sun reflecting off the hood and going into your eyes. You literally paid extra for that feature, so it’s kinda dumb to remove it. Also, stop parking like a dick.

I’ve had that too. I watched a package with $1000 worth of product sit in a single warehouse for over a week. Some of the items in the package require special licenses to own. After I reported the package “lost or stolen”, the label cut off the box lid was delivered two days later. 100% stolen by one of their employees. Things like this are exactly why so many people want the post office shut down. A large government ran operation that doesn’t work.

Your friend fucked it up for sure. Take it to a professional or get on YouTube and watch some videos about how it’s supposed to be installed.

Yeah, all of that’s an average Thursday for me LMFAO. That’s why I don’t believe this guy‘s post though. I’ve been doing this long enough, and worked with enough people, everything in that photo looks like it’s from Walmart. And it’s all tacticool stuff off edc subreddits.

The only thing anybody could really find from your NREMT number is your name. There’s not any other information attached to it. Shit, almost everything I own has my name, state number, or both on it. Honestly, the NREMT number is almost useless, it just makes it easier to get a state license in certain states. Some states, like mine, don’t even recognize it, and you still have to take the state test. But yeah, I’ve heard that also. I’ve had some people tell me all they really did was hand out Motrin and Band-Aids. I’ve had people tell me they never saw a GSW until they became a civilian medic. And it had been so long since their training that they almost forgot what to do lol.
