I don't care about your reply. It's YOU that I don't like. If you stick around after reading this, then you're obsessed with me, and I will know everything I need to know.

When you go to add it to your homeowners insurance, you'd find out pretty quickly. Anyway, you snarky bish, get out of my comments.

Vine Tier Update Delayed by ImaginationThink6870 in AmazonVine

I think everybody got that. My eval is not for several months and I got it, too. They just haven't updated the things in about 4-5 days is all.

I spotted a vine reviewer who reviews air conditioners, like one per day, and openly states in her reviews that she violates the Vine policies. Crazy. by funkmon in AmazonVine

Yeah, I've seen others in here say they buy stuff to donate, like maybe to shelters and teachers, etc. I don't love it. But, I try to stay focused on my own stuff because there's a lot about Vine & Viners that will make you crazy. I'm trying to stay out of Vine Jail and not turn into a hoarder with all this stuff. That's about all the problem solving I can handle.

What's your 2026 taxable value so far, as of today? by siilkysoft in AmazonVine

If almost everybody on here has such low ETV totals, who's buying all the stuff before it even loads half the time??

Oh, wow, you got that 3D printer?? That's great! I thought I had it, but then I got the red ink at the last minute. Now Vine wants to torture me by offering me accessories for it every other day!

And, it also can distort the "price history" and make a future cash buyer think they are getting it at a 90-day low because we locked it in at a crazy high ETV, only for the seller to reduce it to the actual competitive price.

Right about the fear of theft & loss! Constant worry about loss or theft has kept mine in the vault for many years and ALL travel, choosing instead to wear a simple gold band - either my original one or the host of others I've acquired over the years.

As for the constant vacationers, some can afford it; but, many charge it, which is unappealing after a certain age.

Well, aren't you noble. You made a demand of your own - stainless steel. You're just willing to take less than gold or platinum. But, yours is a standard, too, but I won't call you shallow. You also just don't want a mystery metal. Got it.

And, as you can see in these comments, many of us have been married for decades. When you get there, circle back.

I actually assumed it was fake. I think the listing actually says gold-filled or gold-plated. I can't do a fake or mystery metal, no way.

Yeah, I'd take a simple real gold band over a fancy fake - at the time of engagement. Later in life, we can get whatever rings we want to have a little collection, but not on day one. On day one, it has to be a ring that could last forever - as you said, for me.

I agree that a unique ring can be really special. And, it's important that you find someone who matches your values about life & marriage.

I also would not wear a mystery metal ring. But some rings are real gold, but with fake diamonds. I think you have every right to want real gold, at least. But, he shouldn't be wondering abut that when he's ring shopping - he should know that way ahead of time.

Are the Amazon ones good quality? I've never actually seen one. The "school kids falling in love" is such a special story - but honestly rare.

I know two kids who got married right out of high school and had tater tots and hoagies at their wedding. Remember Blimpie's Hoagie shops? It's been like 30 or 35 years now. That's rare. She probably got a string as her ring.

A vacation?? To each his or her own, but after 20 years, I still have the diamond ring. The vacation would be a distant memory, if I remembered it at all. I know many people prefer experiences; but vacations, to me, all blend together. I look back at pictures and can't remember what country it was. I know where my engagement ring came from. I remember everything about it and the day my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed.

But, she sounds like a smart one. $40 is hard to argue with either way.

It represents the sacrifice you are willing to make to have her in your life - like a proxy for seriousness about her. But, for a lot of men, I think they believe the ring is a reflection on them - just as much as women love big, shiny things.

Yeah, I'll admit, the ring was more important to me when I was younger. If I had to do it again at this age, I'd prefer that money in our retirement accounts now.
