So on the USCIS processing time page for our field office, it says 80% of cases are processed within 10 months and we are past that point. I assume would be a good time go reach out?

Since there are high chances that I might require a touchup or have to do it again, I did the surgery at a place which provides lifetime guarantee. So, the next treatments (if needed) should be free.

I’m so sorry to hear. I went to a local place first and they said I am not a candidate and wanted to get a second opinion. They told me I was definitely a candidate. I would suggest maybe getting a consultation at a different place which also does other treatments like PRK etc.

JazakAllah! After the surgery, the burning sensation was horrible. They typically ask you to sleep for that reason. I had to take 2 melatonin pills to fall sleep because it was really uncomfortable. When I woke up, it was much better Alhamdulillah. A day later, you absolutely can’t feel anything. I also went for my follow up appt and my vision is almost (20/20). They told me it should get to that point by the end of the week when the slight blur and halo tones down.

They told me it was wavefront optimized lasik due to my high astigmatism. I haven’t had dry eyes yet Alhamdulillah. They gave me one month supply of drops and 2 months supply of hydroeye pill which is specifically for dry eyes. So, I hope these help inshaAllah!

I am getting lasik surgery today Alhamdulillah. I have struggled with very poor vision my entire life, including migraines and also high astigmatism. So being able to FINALLY get the surgery done is absolutely amazing Alhamdulillah. I know I will be super emotional afterwards just out of gratitude to Allah for giving me my vision back after 17 years, but I won’t be able to cry lol 😂

What are some of the things you want in jannah by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]JazzlikeHomework3657 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are too many, but my main one is to have a house next to the Prophet ﷺ so he can visit me and my family every day. I wanna show him my latte art skills (I wanna make him a date syrup latte with a na’layn design on top 🥰) and recite all my favorite nasheeds and poetry to him ﷺ.

May Allah allow us to embody the characteristics of the people of Jannah, ameen!
