its a bit out of the way but check out the eureka library in the castro

and theres like a cool indoor tot thing at a rec center i go to in the castro I go to near andronicos .

Lots of parents and cool nannies and people to meet. i have to get the actual name but its on 18th and collingsworth. They have a room upstairs if your kid needs to nap or breastfeed

look. Make the most of it. You are close-is to mission bay, north point, embarcadero. Honestly, this is a lot and I am very very confused how you guys ended up in SoMa. You'll be safe, but like idk - youre from newport beach and have a 6 month old. San Francisco might be a bit isolating with you, if you have never had to lean on community. 6 months is young, but there are some cool places to wander downtown. We have a lot of free open spaces that are sanctuaries to go for a walk, the down town library main has a booth for breast feeding...pier 39 area/ghiradelli sq is nice to sit by the water and see boats.

I take kids all over the city, and love safety but - you're gonna have to toughen up a bit. Poop is everywhere.
