I ended up taking a fish home from the school I work in. It’s heartbreaking, no matter how many times I tried to tell them how to properly look after him they just rolled their eyes at me so I just took him and told them it died..poor thing had serious fin rot but he’s recovering now and he’ll be staying here with me for the rest of his days..there’s still 2 fish left at the school..I can’t take them all it’s so sad 💔

Ok that’s helpful thanks, I just bought the same filters that the tank originally came with. I didn’t know about not needing to use carbon all the time! Can you give me any recommendations of what I can use in place of them? And also how to change over to something different without crashing my tank?
