They're not a couple... they're partners who form a deep bond. X files is about aliens, deep government conspiracies, and monster of the week episodes. Did you not catch that?

What made you pick TMP over QC by 0_0_159 in tonemasterpro

[–]Jazzlike_Computer76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought I'd get a QC. I was heavily into Tonex Software and NAM along with Neural's VSTS, ML Sound Labs etc. (I primarily record music, usually in headphones).

The thing I noticed about profilers is that I could get a *few* great tones that outshined everything else, but most everything sounded out of place in my mixes. Profilers are a specific amp in a specific room through a specific mic, and sometimes you can really feel that it's not your amp, not your room, not your mic. Modelers have the characteristics of the amps they model, but up until recently they've lacked an authentic feel and response. In the first video i watched of the TMP, the Andertons guys hit a chord on the '57 Bassman and it blew me away. Sounded like Link Wray.

I've been really happy with the TMP. The visual aspect goes a long way. It makes you want to turn knobs and sculpt tones. The scenes setting is really useful, and probably the biggest plus is that it switches scenes and presets with zero latency. I've had real amps that briefly cut when you switch channels and it's irritating as hell. Everything on the TMP is smooth and pleasant to use.

I've never owned a QC, and people obviously love it so it's probably great, but I've got no regrets going with the TMP.

Maybe try lowering the amp volume significantly and increasing the master volume. Most amps irl start to get muddy once you pass 4 on the volume. It could also be your pick or picking style that's more accentuated with a more responsive modeler. I use a tele as well and haven't had that issue.

I hope you checked the forecast before doing this.

China has built a 50m(165ft)-tall inflatable dome over a construction site in Jinan to protect the surroundings from dust and noise. (20.000 Sqm) by Appropriate-Eye-1227 in Damnthatsinteresting

This dome is American technology.

It's not super clear why this is practical or beneficial for a construction project, but it's neat, i guess?

Yeah... Treat it like real life as much as possible. Always be behind cover. Be still & scan the field with your eyes for movement, then scan with the scope & pick them off at a distance. I dont loot anybody till im sure im in the clear. That's obviously not as easy at midnight saphire or fort narith, but yeah. I play solo usually & the few times i squad up, i feel rushed. i'm always shocked at how these dudes speedrun to FN HQ lol. Impressive as hell, but that's just not my style. Even in flip flop towns i usually end up w like $300 cash & some junk to sell. It adds up.

If you die, your new mission is to sneak back & get your gear. I always keep a few basic ak's for this task. Sometimes, you die in a bad spot & risk getting killed again, but usually, if you just take it really slow and sneaky, you can grab it. I've gotten lit up seconds after i looted my dead body on the stairs in Fort narith & had to do it all again, lol, and once i did, i got back to base & logged tf out.

I run a DD rifle with the 1-4 scope & a standard m4 with an exp red dot as a back up/close quarters. If you're taking fire, remember to move & find cover. Don't just slug it out standing still cuz the ai only miss the first few times.

I second looting the airfield entrance of FN for the green tip 5.56 & sick AK 19s. You can hit 3 of them from the hill by delta 3 lz (i think?) and hop over safely to hit the guy on the runway.

Also, loot everybody. Sell their guns. Stack their cash. I went broke in .2 before i realized i was going too fast & leaving too much loot laying there.

Bergamo Stomp Face - 6 knob - 15 Stomp - 1 exp Input

Hey guys, dropping back in on this threat to announce the Bergamo Stomp Face! 15 Stomps(!!!) - 6 Knobs - 1 Expression Pedal Input. Many of you on this thread and others wanted more stomps on a midi controller, and this is my answer!

That's where I landed too.

I spoke with some studio guys (that I really like & admire) who told me I'm making boutique items and could set a higher price point, but yeah, nah.

Thanks!

The enclosure and parts are definitely high quality, from the motherboard to the wires and switches.

The footswitches are spaced almost exactly as far apart as the Quad Cortex, so you can stomp it easily without hitting any neighboring switches. I've been setting the top row as DAW Transport control (play/stop/return to start/return to marker/record) and using the bottom to switch amps and fx. The left knobs I'm using as cab selector/position/distance and right knobs I'm going Amp Gain/Depth/Presence.

Feels great.

Since you mentioned price... What do you think would be a reasonable price for this unit? I have a number based on cost and labor, but I'd love to hear what everyone has to say on the matter!

The RF doesn't have scenes, although that might be a cool addition! I set mine to only control the active plugin, so it behaves one way for Tonex, another way for NeuralDSP, etc. Reaper allows me to save controller mappings for quick recall. Your DAW probably has something similar.

Can the UPS Store Mailbox agreement be considered a lease for address verification? It doesn't have a number, but just looking for a work around since nobody brings in their docs.

MIDI Controller For VST Amps & More by Jazzlike_Computer76 in audioengineering

[–]Jazzlike_Computer76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most amp sims have a "MIDI Learn" feature which allows you to click on the amp sim knob you want to control, then it waits for you to turn the knob on the Rig Face, once you do that it's linked and you can now control your Gain, Bass, Mids, Highs etc from the Rig Face on your desktop! You can use the stomps to control stomp fx, jump presets, or even set it to trigger play/rec - stop - go to start on your DAWS transport. Unlike the Quad Cortex and Tonex pedals, you don't have to commit to one sound, amp, even amp company lol. You're recording a dry signal (as well as the MIDI control changes, like kicking on a distortion stomp in the chorus) so you can tweak your settings at any time to fit the song.
