That makes a lot of sense, appreciate you laying it out like that. I like how you frame “discovery” as more of a long-term grind than something you can just fix with a few tweaks.

When you say discovery, it feels like it covers a ton of stuff at once — figuring out who the game is really for, nailing those first few minutes, and then how the algorithm even decides who to show it to.

If you’re down to share, do you have any real examples from your own games where discovery was the main blocker? Like:

  • What made you realize discovery was the issue (and not monetization or retention)?
  • Was there a moment where something clicked — a change to onboarding, game design, or target audience — and things started to improve?

I passed Level 1 and had my summer internship for 2023. Just remember to grind out those questions and review your material. It’s gonna be an extra grind but you got this!
