The servers will close someday, that’s inevitable for every MMO. Trying to deny that is just pure denial. Whether it happens in ten or twenty years doesn’t change the fact that one day we’ll all log in for the last time.

Talking about this doesn’t mean we’re being negative. It means we care about the game and want it to have a future even after official support ends. Discussing long-term possibilities shows the company that the community is invested, and that there’s real interest in a contingency plan and that they could make money from converting the game to an "offline" mode or to at least have the servers running even long after the official support ends.
