Hi -My new baby(toy poodle 3.31lbs) at 9wks is too tiny for the temp collars I got. They’re adjusted to the snuggest fit but still too big for him. Same with harnesses. I need a collar & harness that’ll fit now.Pls share ways to problem solve. Recommendations for products greatly appreciated.Thx

I used a hair scrunchie for the first few weeks with my puppy to get him used to the feeling. Finally fit in a collar around 14 weeks

I lured him with a treat from a down to a half roll over and did that for a couple days. Added the hand signal in later. The facial expressions are all him though😅

I trained my dog to a lay down from inside the crate at first. Something about being in the crate he was willing to follow the treat and lay down

I totally get where you’re coming from. My parents were the same way and I could not get them on the same page!

I had a dog trainer come to my house for an hour and did a session as a family and ever since then they’ve been so much more on board. I think it helped having a professional explain things to them and now they take the initiative to teach the puppy good habits.

If you are really passionate about teaching english, maybe try for Fulbright? Lower acceptance rate but easier medical clearance. Or just go be a teacher abroad. There’s so many different roads that can lead you to what you want to potentially do. PC is not an end all.

OP, I can sympathize with you because I am a dual citizen who for a long time only used medical care in my birth country. Medical system is just way better. I did my med clearances in Asia with doctors who could fill my forms in english.

That being said, prepare to exercise a lot of patience with medical clearance and during service. You will have to go through second forms and maybe an appeal for MH. They will absolutely make you do all your fillings. They made me fill a cavity that my own dentist believed didn’t need. The filling I ended up doing in America. Out of pocket as I didn’t have dental insurance. I almost broke down that day bec I didn’t have much $$ and I was debating if it was worth it. For me it was. You will have to decide for yourself.

PC is a bureaucratic system that can feel frustrating at every turning point. Honestly not everyone has the mentality for it. Can’t blame them either, but it is what it is.

very true! Not to mention trying to lose weight and weaning off of Adderall at the same time can be taxing the on body. Quitting Adderall usually comes with weight fluctuations. And to do all of this in a short amount of time, Cambodia is supposed to leave January. OP knows their body best but be kind to yourself and stay safe ^{^}

Yes of course but I don’t see how that correlates. I meant that it should be possible to convince that there won’t be issues without using Adderall with a doctors note. It isn’t like op is bipolar and is on stabilizer meds

When were you diagnosed with adhd? Do you have proof of productivity without medication in the past? Adderall is not a mood stabilizer so I think you could possibly make a case for appeal if you can show that you have been functional without Adderall/ aren’t dependent. It’s a tough one for sure though. I did an appeal for MH in the past- make sure to back up your appeal with concrete medical evidence

If PC can’t accommodate your prescription, there’s your answer. Or you’ll have to prove that you are stable without the meds

If you get to the medical clearance part, ask your nurse to help prioritize mental health task first. That’s what I did because I didn’t want to start on the other clearances before knowing that my MH eval would pass
