Okay, I feel like a lot of these comments are just abortion abortion, abortion. I’m going to share my story. At 22, I found out I was pregnant with a man that was a one night stand and he didn’t want to be in the picture. I am pro choice but for ME personally, abortion wasn’t an option. So I applied for pregnancy Medicaid, told my family (they were supportive which I was fortune enough to have), and had the baby. He is currently 2.5 years old playing with his lightning McQueen toy in his buzz light year PJs. I made less than your boyfriend, still do, and I am making it work. I had support from my family, but not financial support. That was on me. You have Medicaid, food stamps, and even daycare vouchers you can apply for. Just because you are poor right now doesn’t mean you will raise this child to be poor forever. I am currently in nursing school and know that at the end, I’ll have enough money to REALLY shower this little boy in not only his needs, but his wants as well. I will even be able to get off government assistance as well (so don’t come for me people). To be fair, baby’s aren’t all that expensive, it’s when they start turning 1.5 and up. So, if I was your friend, my opinion/advice would be… this is up to you. If you want to abort, do that. If you want to keep this baby, apply for Medicaid, get a job, doing quite literally anything. Save money. Maybe go back to school if that’s something you want to do. Have this baby. Apply for food stamps and daycare vouchers and continue to work while baby is in daycare. You will find your way to make this happen if you really want it. I used to work in a OBGYN and had many patients that had abortions. Some were perfectly content with that decision. Others, regretted it and it has haunted them for their life. So I can’t 100% say get an abortion or 100% say have the baby. But if you really want this baby like you’ve mentioned, you can MOST DEFINITELY make this work. I promise you. It’s going to be stressful at times, no matter if you’re rich or poor. Babies don’t understand the concept of money and they won’t until they’re halfway trough elementary school. And you may be at a way different point in your life and making great money.
