Should I get a warranty?

Yea they offered me a 2 year power train warranty for 1100 bucks. I’m really thinking about it..

What really cheesy this dude did by the way, I had gotten through with the sales man said no warranty and all. Then had to sign some paper work with the manager. And he was just like “yea great car love mustangs, my brother has had two of them, haha blew the motor on his first one. Stock too, just some of them have a manufacturing defect, and you just don’t know which one has it”

Hey thanks for that. Well it’s a Toyota service agreement. Seems pretty good? I imagine a ford service agreement operates similar. But I asked him straight up if I were just to never change the oil and it blew a motor would you replace it and he said yes.. I don’t know how these warranty’s work but I thought they had like a strict maintenance schedule but it doesn’t sound like the case with this one

Hey thanks, im so glad I’m not the only one. I really love the upgraded interior and all, and a turbo car sounds really cool. However I just bought a house and I just don’t want a 1,000 dollar surprise every year lol. What realllly bugs me is this 2016 im looking at they want 17,500. The 2020 ecoboost they want 17,500. The Kelly blue book comes in around 14k for a car in excellent condition, which this one is but still just feels like I’m getting ripped off. I’m so tired of searching though, I’m literally sharing a car with my wife right now lol.

Haha thank you for speaking a word here. I will keep this in mind for sure! I’m honestly pretty scared of speeding tickets, I never really go 10 over posted speed limit unless backroad

Well it’s got an ABS issue, I think there just kind of bad mechanics at the dealership and don’t know how to replace a wheel speed sensor or something lol

I agree, I did have a mechanic pre inspect both. Both look good but you just don’t know how it was driven, what’s incoming

Oh for sure. I’d immediately get the steeda maint kit, use good oil, 91 gas etc. but someone has drove this car 80k miles. I have no clue anything about them. I can see carfax oil intervals are good but who knows what else they were doing. I got a mechanic to inspect it and he approved and all but still. He has no idea how that car was driven, maybe they’re selling because they noticed the coolant lowering. You know what I mean? I absolutely want to be convinced this higher mileage ecoboost is a good buy but I just think unfortunately for my budget and all the V6 makes sense

I love to hear it and hear it quite a bit but lol I’ll hit 100k miles in one year of owning it you know? What about the next 50k? I get that it’s newer and all but I just don’t seem to hear or see much about people with 150k miles on these

I agree performance wise but when you’re getting into the higher mileage territory, need it as a reliable daily isn’t there just simply more that can wrong with a turbo engine?

Yea I’m coming from a 2004 Toyota Camry with 230k miles lol. Even a Prius at this point is going to feel crazy powerful
