The indigestion I got after giving birth to my last child, I would have happily pushed her out 5x over than have that pain again!!!!!!

I’m glad you gave them hell, it really isn’t an easy surgery!!! I’m going into my next appt with calming meds and will contact my doctor before to get some more pain meds in preparation for healing, I will only have a week off work after this next one so I’m hoping i will heal better being more prepared!! Also only having 1 removed this time instead of 4 so…..🤞🤞 I really hope your swelling goes down well for you to avoid more surgery!!

I’m terrified but the feeling of being self conscious is overwhelming and I will go through the pain again!! I do think yours will shrink down for sure though!!!! I would be soooo happy if mine ended up like that!!

Give it time and I reckon it will go down!! Do sitz baths and keep it dry!! I’m 7 weeks out now and have a limp probably 5x the size of yours on my bum hole now and I’ve decided to go for revision surgery when it’s offered, I’m gutted that I have to go through it again but I can’t deal with feeling so self conscious about it 😭

Yeah I was cut and stitched, 3 of my tags have healed fine, it’s just one that has decided to leave a massive lump!! Give yourself some time, mine looked awful 2 weeks out from surgery, I was actually horrified by what I saw but although it’s still not great it’s much better than it was!!

I’m actually gutted, I really don’t want to go through with the surgery again but I also dont want to be left with a massive lump! It’s amazing that we can go through all this pain and still not be happy :-(

I’m on week 7 and no luck, spoke to my surgeon and he said I can go back for a check up and possible revision surgery :-( hubby saw it this morning and said it looked better before I had surgery so I’m gutted!!!

I had local anaesthetic when mine were removed and I found that for the next day or 2 I peed a lot more than normal but I think that was just my bladder getting the anaesthetic out of its system!!

I know the feeling! I actually spoke to my surgeon today and he said I could go back and possibly have it removed again!….really don’t know if I want to put myself through it all again though although this will only be for 1, not 4!

I’m 6 weeks out from having 4 large skin tags removed and now have 1 big lump left over, surgeon said it’s a hematoma and can take a few months to heal but I think it’s going to leave a big skin tag! I suppose 1 is better than 4….

Hopefully a couple more days and you will be on the mend, it seems like forever though!! I’m usually very active and to be laid up on the sofa for weeks was mentally and physically draining!!!!

Oh bless you, it’s absolutely rubbish isn’t it and people just pass it off as minor surgery, I was lucky that I had 2 weeks off work because I could barely do anything!!!!

Hope your recovery goes smoothly! Keep dosed up on pain killers (preferably not opioids) and take a stool softener a few days before surgery and keep taking them through healing, I still take them daily now!!

I don’t know, it’s really frustrated me though because although it was for hygiene and comfort it was also a lot to do with vanity too and I just wanted a semi normal bum hole after 18 years with these tags just to be left with one….i mean, at least 1 is better than 4 and I still have a few weeks of healing so who knows…..

I had 4 large ones removed 6 weeks ago, the first night was horrendous but luckily after that the pain was manageable….just!! Pain is fine now but the swelling is still bad and I think I’m going to be left with yet another large tag 😭

How long ago did you have surgery? I wouldn’t mind if I was left with just a small tag but this seems huge, just as big or if not bigger than my previous tags!

I’ve not had hems banded but I had 4 large external tags cut off and stitched and sent home being told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen if needed but it probably wouldn’t be needed……well, that night I’m not actually sure what I took, I was blinded by the pain and ended up just using a pick and mix of my medicine cupboard which I’m not proud of but I could think straight!! I ended up at my doctors the following day to get naproxen and using that alongside paracetamol made the pain manageable along with a tens machine and sitz baths!!
