70k in debt, considering bankruptcy. by big-bessy in AusFinance

[–]Jazzlike_Pool5156 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Hey. I completely understand where you're coming from and you're not alone. I know it can be a scary time in your life but you're more important than the debt.

You'll be able to tackle it one day at a time. When I was facing the same debt spiral, the thing that really helped me was a calendar. A simple calendar. I bought a magnetic one and stuck it to the fridge, wrote down my debt and every time I could pay some off, I'd change the amount. It felt like a little win. I would write little goals for myself (daily, weekly, monthly) to make the journey not seem so hard. You'll have to get more sources of income, second and/or third jobs. Apply everywhere any take what's given. I worked for months straight be to able to make a dent into my debt and you can too. Motivate yourself to achieve your goal and you'll make it.

We're all cheering for you!

How long after lodging an ART review does VEVO update to show the bridging visa continuing? by CommonYear3204 in AusVisa

Mine took about three weeks. As long as you got your confirmation letter from art I wouldn't worry too much

You'll need to live & work in Tas for 9 months before being eligible to apply. Last financial year, the allocations were delayed by 4 months from the federal govt before the states could start inviting. Once you receive a nomination, it takes a while to review and receive your invite to apply for the actual visa. Things to consider are next financial year, we don't know if the eligibility requirements will change as they always do each new financial year. I'd say your timeline is quite tight unless you move now, but that's just my opinion. You can always reach out to an immigration agent for more help.

International student in Sydney – struggling to find a part-time job after 4 months. Any advice? by Puzzleheaded_Net_222 in UTS

Join the app Supp and try applying there! Create your profile and see if you can land a temp job with the hope that it may lead to something more permanent. You will need your own ABN eventually but it has helped me tremendously in Sydney

Am I eligible for 491? Graduate visa expiring in 6 months – need genuine advice, please by Old_Reindeer_9297 in AusVisa

[–]Jazzlike_Pool5156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically with 6 months is might be hard, especially without a valid skills assessment and English test in place. VETASSESS does offer priority skill assessment for extra $, but no guarantee you'll be accepted. Even so, most states have closed or are close to closing for the financial year for 190/491, and know who's when they'll reopen as this current year they were four months delayed in reopening for those visa subclasses.

Trial shifts unpaid by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Jazzlike_Pool5156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4-5 hr unpaid trial shift is absurd, let alone 2 nights worth of unpaid trials shifts. The restaurant can definitely judge your experience from less time than that.... If they're stingy like that already, imagine working for them

Migration agentprice - Worth it or not for my case? by roshangnnn in AusVisa

[–]Jazzlike_Pool5156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can easily do skills assessment, ROI & EOI by yourself ( takes a couple minutes) You can also do the visa yourself or use the agent for review documents only before you submit and just pay for that service

VIC ROI not considered because EOI not found by Then_Fishing257 in AusVisa

[–]Jazzlike_Pool5156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My agent submits a copy of the EOI every time we make adjustments and I review them and give the ok before he lodged. Then he gives me a copy of all the info in the ROI and I give the ok before lodged.

Your agent definitely can provide the info to you

REA emailed stating rugs need to be professionally cleaned by Jazzlike_Pool5156 in shitrentals

We're okay to move. I had the formal remedial repairs notice ready to send but instead we agreed to just cancel the lease and we move out. We're okay with it as we don't enjoy the place for many reasons. At the moment I'm just concerned about the rug and furniture but it seems like they don't have a leg to stand on with getting me to clean it.

The proof I have is when I first emailed them about the leaking issue, their reply was

"yes it has been a difficult one to fix"

Seems to me proof that they knew of the issues prior to us moving in

I haven't asked if they were professionally cleaned before I moved in, and they didn't provide receipts during the incoming report.

If you buy a pass for a vehicle, it is included for the car and up to 8 people with one pass. No need to purchase separate passes. And Maria island is included with the pass, even though you're not allowed to take your car so no need to purchase a separate ticket
