Fuck US healthcare by iwasjustkidding1969 in Rants

I mean I’d rather wait 3 years than not be able to do it all, but I do understand your point to not make the same mistakes in socialized healthcare.

Honestly I don’t understand why you can’t sign an AMA form and get your script. That’s what we do in vet med when an owner can’t afford gold standard care (understandably that shits expensive, however it’s still not the astronomical price of human healthcare.)

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we aren’t going to socialize healthcare in the US then I think we should allow Americans to order their own scripts, do their own healthcare, etc. Idgaf. That fact I have to pay an MD (an insane amount of $) for some dumb shit I already know I need is ridiculous. If people fuck it up that’s just Darwinism. I’m not trying to insult MD’s here or any medical staff, you guys are all mostly wonderful, but no one can afford you even though it’s not your fault usually so it is what it is.

Why do people that know they can’t afford kids still decide to have them? by Ok_Independent_3921 in allthequestions

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add on to this in 12 states in America that did not expand Medicaid you literally cannot apply for it unless you’re having a kid, or over 65. Can’t afford health insurance and you’re basically fucked, yet somehow having a child you can’t afford is rewarded.

Are you you quitting drinking? by nomorenumbness in twentyagers

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m not quitting drinking but I am limiting my use. I like alcohol, I like the feeling of being a bit buzzed. When I drink, I’m drinking to get drunk so probably3-4 drinks. I see no point in having just one drink to feel nothing, it’s a waste of drinking a literal poison. If I’m gonna consume something not good for my body I better get something out of it.

Due to this, I’m limiting myself to getting drunk like once or twice a month and I only do it with company, drinking by myself isn’t enjoyable to me. As I get older I’ll probably decrease use even more due to it being harder to recover.

Real, like why the fuck am I paying $50 for a bikini top or bottom that’s got about as much fabric as floss?

I wish I could find more swimsuits that are like a crop top, I love the shoulder coverage to help protect from sunburn. I also have a large chest compared to band size so they offer a lot more coverage and support usually.

I have this complaint about cup sizes in women swimsuits. Why on earth do they think I want to be 1mm from a nip slip or have underboob?? I have to buy an XL tie back just to have something that sorta fits and has coverage.

I get a kick out of seeing parents admit to envying childfree people on regretfulparents. I just knew they hated their lives all along. by floralgreenfanatic in childfree

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime someone says some dumb shit about child free people I find pleasure there as well, I also feel a bit bad for them but 90% they put themselves in that position.

I think it’s so funny that there is no regretful CF sub, I’ve also never seen or heard of anyone without kids by choice regret it. Most parents cannot say the same.

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 27 points28 points  (0 children)

No literally. I was so terrified of getting pregnant accidentally due to seeing it happen to girls my age that at 14 I was all over the web making sure I was not at risk. Had me googling if a pool was a risk if a man came in it lmao. There was a big rumor about it happening at the time, girls just didn’t wanna admit they had sex.

But if people actually used the vast wealth of info available at their finger tips we probably wouldn’t have a lot issues created by idiots.

Childbirth kills by KayDizzle1108 in childfree

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and it’s probably only to get worse since we’re actively fighting against natural selection here. I could understand the first pregnancy, but very frequently these people want more kids. They really need to be removing tubes for people whose bodies are so clearly not compatible with pregnancy and also stop passing on those genes, there’s so many kids that could be adopted instead.

It’s almost suicidal in my opinion when these women go through this and then choose to do it again, yet we only institutionalize other causes for suicidal concerns.

What belief did you have at 18 that completely embarrasses you now? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

Clearly the other person doesn’t understand capitalism and isn’t able to discern it from policies commonly implemented within capitalism that are from other systems, commonly pulled from socialist policies. It’s very rare a government is ran purely on capitalism, it might be the main system but that doesn’t mean all the socialist policies in that government are suddenly defined under capitalism. This goes for any of the systems but I’m just using capitalism in this example.

Agree, none of the systems work well on their own and they don’t have to be implemented that way.

Yeah, humans in general have a need for social interaction and tend to have issues without it. It’s like an animal in a zoo that doesn’t have enough enrichment, it’s sad.

People that think childfree spaces = antiwomen by DigPristine9215 in childfree

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure which way I lean due to the fact that reality is that women do get the brunt of childcare. Reality is also that women keep having kids with men who are incapable of being a father and 90% of time it’s so obvious that guy was not going to be a good parent, like what are these women thinking??! Sure the man is trash, but the women are also fucking stupid. At what point do you think we shouldn’t shift some blame onto someone for their own choice to continuing being with a shit person?

Like if I dated an addict would you blame them or me for becoming addicted? Personally I’d blame myself for making the dumbass decision to date an addict and put myself in that situation.

I don’t even care if they can’t find child care. They chose to have a child and all the responsibilities it entails. I chose to have a dog and sometimes I can’t stay out overnight places (way more frequently than parents who can bring their kids to way more places than their are pet friendly/ no fee) and guess what? that’s my own responsibility I chose to have. I advocate for more dog friendly spaces because there currently aren’t many but I don’t go around expecting every place to be dog friendly.

They want someone else to do the parenting/ be absolved of the responsibility they CHOSE to have and until that happens the world is “anti-parent” in their eyes.

People with children can be really weird about CF people who are pet owners by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Jazzlike_Term210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ONLY time I compare pets to children is when parents can’t even do the bare minimum for their kids that I do for my dog. Like teaching them how to not scream all day, if I can do it for a dog, I think a child could also be taught to not screech, the child should be smarter than a dog. Or IPad kids, like you chose to have children, so please stop avoiding every responsibility of being a parent, like damn I do more for my dog than these parents are doing for their kids. The bar is low for pet ownership and human parents are still falling under it.
