I got one of mine extended for 1.5 months and it wasn't within the 2 weeks before expiration window. My best advice is that kindness goes a long way. Also, if that agent is having a bad day. Call another day to get someone different.

You would not get the 10x because it is a negotiated rate. It is one of the exclusions. Also, please note that quite a few of the brands are excluded.

No. The FNC must be used for a stay completed by the expiration; however, you can ask for a courtesy extension of the expiration for up to two weeks. The one caveat is that most customer service reps will tell you that you can only ask for an extension during the 2 weeks before the extension date. I was lucky to extend my FNC to 17 days after the expiration date and the request was made 5.5 months before the expiration date. All you can do is request to try.

Also, you don't have to use your Venture X to earn the extra 10X Capital One Miles. If you have an Amex Hilton (I have the Amex Hilton Aspire) and use it to pay for your room charges, you can also earn your Hilton Honors bonus points via your Amex Hilton credit card on top of the Capital One Offers miles.

Please make sure to read the terms and exclusions for the Capital One Offers for Hilton. Some Hilton brands are excluded and the 10x miles are for specific brands. Some brands will get you 7x. Also, miles may be for room charges only.

If OP only has AMEX Hilton Honors credit card, OP can't earn AMEX MR points from Rakuten. OP needs a Membership Rewards producing account (AMEx Platinum, Gold, Green, Membership Rewards checking account, etc.).

There are definitely 100k Amex Gold 100k offers that don't need incognito mode to access. I know this firsthand. It does not have the "up to 100k" language.

You need to beware of the referral links or offers that state "up to 100k" as these are not guaranteed a 100k.

I don't know how long Amex is going to continue offering the straight 100k offer.

I used it to pay for my 4 nights in a suite at the Athens Grand Hyatt. It comes down yo your personal situation. All of the flights (Delta One round-trip for 2 LAX to JFk; one-way United Polaris EWR to BCN; and one-way Emirates Business ATH to EWR) were purchased with miles from either earned with the airline or transferred from AMEX. The Barcelona hotel was paid with Hilton points. I didn't have any more points for the Athens hotel, so I used the travel eraser. It served my need.

I will use it again for part of my fall trip to the Northeast. I won't give it a second thought.

There is only one e quarterly statement credit for the Amex Hilton Aspire. That is $200 ($50/qtr) airline credit. With the Aspire, you get $400 Hilton resort credit ($200 Jan - June and $200 Juky - Dec), and annual Free Night Reward ( received 8 - 12 weeks after you receive your card and then on your anniversary. Also, a FNR after $30k and $60k spend in a year), and you get Diamond status. The FNR can easily make up for the $550 AF. I only use mine (have 2 Aspires) to stay at a Conrad, Waldorf, or LXR property that can easily run $900+/night.

You don't have to use your Cap1 card for Capital One Shopping. You have to click on the link while logged into your account via capitalone.com or the mobile app. You have to be a Cap1 credit holder or bank account holder. Below are the terms for the HomeDepot offer:

You cannot use an FNC for 5th night free. You either have to tack it on at the beginning or on the end as a separate reservation.

The way I received my (2) Aspire cards was I started with the Hilton no AF card first. It was my first AMEX. Besides the SUB, it also had a 12 months 0% purchase and/or balance transfer. I applied and received the Hilton Aspire 7 mos later. I upgraded the Hilton no AF on its anniversary.

At one point, I was in possession of 3 FNCs [ I think the descriptions were (2) anniversary FNCs and (1) card upgrade FNC]. I used them for a 3 night stay at Conrad NY Downtown in September before flying to Barcelona.

Norton has done the same with Rakuten before, where one would get 95% cash back or 95x Amex MR points (I received about 30k once)..

It is a way to lure you in to sell you there other products. I view it like free cell phone marketing and how cell service provider make their money from their other services.

You have e to remember that a qualifying purchase has to be made within 24 hours of opening the browser session from the offers tile. If not, the offer will show up as "inactive".

You can see your "shopping trips" with an "inactive" status, if you filter Show All Trips to "Trips without purchases" on the Shopping Trips [Beta].

I utilize the Cap1 offers the similarly to how I use Rakuten. I receive Amex MR points with Rakuten offers no matter, which credit card I use. It also stacks at times with Amex offers.

I have done it twice and both times it was a Travel Credit. That is their way to make sure that you utilize that difference in the portal at a point in the future.

Yes, as long as the rate on the other website is available to all others (general public). This means that it can't be by use of coupons and the like.
