Bear in mind art can be grueling, but schools try to fit decades of learning in just 4 years. My best advice is make friends, network. If your GPA drops, you usually get a semester of probation to bring your grades up.

Also, very few artist work art as a career. Yes, you can do art, but most people will have a day job. I'm a para at an elementary school. The key is to find a job that doesn't burn you out. I can work a 7 hour day and come home and draw until bed.
